So I dropped it off at the machine shop today. They said they can get it done in a day or two and the price was pretty reasonable. I'll be much more comfortable flogging it around a track knowing that the cylinders are all nice and clean.

IT's A TRAP! jk.
What did they end up recommending? Are you doing a bore over or did they say they were able to clean it up without declaring it not standard anymore?

They suggested going up the next size. I kinda figured I needed to since the scratches were more than just superficial. I was pretty impressed with them, Steve really seemed to know what he was talking about. It's Clarks Automotive BTW, I think you had recommended them. Any news on your chassis delivery? I had been quoted 20-25 weeks originally and I'm at 18 weeks right now so it must be getting close.

Oh! yeah I spoke to them about the Exocet build and had a nice convo about it. Mention it to them that you're building one as well, they seemed very interested in it. I will be dropping my head off to them soon for a preventative valve job. As for the chassis delievery, I havent heard anything. I think it should be any day now as I was quoted about the same. My guess would be I should recieve the exciting email from them with my chassis in the next two weeks. FINGERS CROSSED!

Hope you have one of the rims in pic upside down as you have 3 treads rotating in same direction 1 the other way..

Hahaha! You've got a good eye! Yes, apparently they thought the car I was building had 3 wheels on the right and 1 on the left. Luckily I spotted it before I left. They are fixing it overnight and I should be able to pick it up tomorrow morning.

Awesome, another bay area kit! I'm helping someone this weekend put together his raceframe. Good luck on the build, let us know if you need help.

I'm about to put the cam angle sensor back in, but I didn't mark the little flange things orientation. How do I know if I'm putting it in correctly or 180 degrees out of phase? I see the little notch in one side, but I don't see the corresponding chamfer on the cam shaft. What am I missing?

You can't put in in wrong way. Only in one orientation you can put it to the end without the slit. Try put in both directions and you will see the diference.

When did the race frame change the bracing on the top of the cage? Interesting to see that different. One a more important note, congrats!

I ordered the frame through a race shop in Salinas called Lesher Motorsports. They were the ones who recommended It. I think they had the frame come with the top diagonal un-welded and welded it and the extra corner bracing themselves.
