Hi All
Went to see the the guys on Wednesday, Paul took me out in the Tr1ike , amazing fun.
Just put deposit on one today should get Early November! 30th birthday present to myself .
Haven't thought of anything beyond just getting my build booked, Paul showed me the article in kit car mag which i think will convince allot of people to get one, the guy who tested it spoke very highly of one
So intend on doing a little thread on my build and hopefully get a little help/advice from your good selves. Only messed about with old VW's before so hardly any experience, anyone in the York area who fancies giving me a hand now and again would much appreciate it.
So first plan, Buy an R1 to strip and get as much done before hand as i can . Never even sat on a motor bike though
Paul

It's a shame you're about to tare that apart, it's such a nice bike. Hopefully, it will make an even better tr1ke!

Build guide on it's way to you.
You should also get very good money for the bits you don't use which is basically everything from the front end, the frame and the fuel tank.
There will be a list of everything you need on the build guide.

Hope it will look good in the TR1ke, did not tell the guy i bought it off was going to break it think he would have cried The R1 is easy to take apart, not so convinced it will be so easy to put back together though!!Do i need to keep the V5 and chasis till its put through all the DVLA.

Bike stripped and bits sold on! Bought a nice bike with some good extras , a couple of little buts left to sell but The engine, swing arm with new chain and sprocket etc, the electrics, two exhausts, two sets of wing mrirrors and some other bits have ended up costing me £250 Bargain. Plus i enjoyed stripping the bike. Left allot of the electrics in place on the engine, hoping this might make it easier but time will tell. Other small tips you dont have to take the carbs off to get the engine out, and planing on using the R1 igniton and switches on the build so have kept them.

So it begins then Colected the kit Yesterday!, gone for powder coated chasis in silver, the front is red, wings are matt black , got some nice momo's wheels, quick steering rack, seats im collecting later red with carbon middle bit. still have to decide on lights but it will be a while before i need them. Garage looks rarther full so have to sort everything out then get started, going to take my time but looking forward to the build.

Good to see another build in progress. Please take some pictures of the brakes as you build them. I'm still somewhat fuzzy as to how that all goes together.
