I believe this is only available to people that have a kit or are in the process of purchasing one.
If you have bought a kit from someone them possibly one of the moderators will be able to sort you out.

I built mine in a standard house integral garage. It's about 16ft long and 7 ft wide so ample room.

I bought a memory foam bath mat for £10 and some pleather from a fabric shop for another £10. I cut the memory foam to the shape I wanted basically a seat back and a seat and then cut the fabric to match giving an extra inch all round for stitching. Then I took the lot to a local clothe's alteration shop and got them to stitch the lot and add in some zips. Total cost £50. I could have stitched them myself but I wanted them to look decent. Pictures in my build...

Totally agree, but were do you draw the line at a bargain.
A new kit, new zetec engine, OMEX 600 ecu, race technology dash and a recon IB5 box could set you back around £7-8k (Quality Kit so may will be cheaper if you go with cheaper/recon components) were as £7-8k for someone else's build that still needs work and possibly no parts/build history. OK you could be saving yourself maybe 6 months work but it's the build that everyone likes the most. There have been guys on hear that build cars then sell them on purely because they like building.
It's all down to personnel preference, if you find a project that meets your budget and has history and receipts for parts/kit bought and most importantly meets the criteria that you are looking for in a kit, then yes, it could be an alternative to starting from scratch.

Someone's 90% complete may not be your 90% complete...
When you have bought the car you may feel that there is a lot to be changed to make it your car.

No idea mate...
I have shit loads of money put into it which I know I'll never get back so it's all down to what someone is willing to pay and if I'm willing or even ready to let it go.

It looks good and has a lot of good kit, was obviously an expensive car to build but with all kit cars they are only worth what someone wants to pay for them.
I know how much I have invested in mine but I know I will never get it all back, nowhere near it.
£16,500 could be worth getting in touch and seeing if a there is any chance of getting it down a bit...

Bit of everything really.
I started working offshore a few years ago so time on the car got less and less.
The car is fully road legal and on a 62 plate it's Mot was due at the end of 2015 but with weather and working away I let it slip and started working on various mods like the front brake upgrades and air intakes.
I've spent a stupid amount on it since I bought the kit 6 years ago but as I said I'm looking to get it all up and running in the next few months, a good clean and an MOT will cover it.

Sorry, only just seen this.
My complete build diary is on here as well as all the other upgrades and modifications for brakes and body addons.
As I said at the beginning The car needs a bit of work as it's been in the garage for over a year now so will need an MOT. I won't be selling it until I'm happy it's all good and back on the road so hopefully over the next few months, I'm just putting the feelers out to see what interest is like.

Thinking about selling the Rocket.
I need to do a bit of work on it to get it up to the standard that I would be happy to sell it. It will be MOT'd and fully road worthy and come with a load of bits and bobs that I have gathered over the years.
It will be a few months before it's ready for sale so I'm just testing the water for interest.
I have an extensive build diary in the rocket section and several others in the bodywork section so all the info on the car and build are available for all to see. I will update this thread with components used closer to the time of selling (If I do Sell).
Cheers

Depending on how old it is it will either be MEV or RTR that produced it.
