If you have the original owners details contact the manufacturer and they may be able to help you out.
You can pick your own 17 digit chassis number if you want or the dvla will give you one. The chassis may only have a manufactures build number.

Thanks I have a name so will contact MEV on Monday. From what you have said I assume this would not be a big issue then? My concern was whether it was a legitimate MEV chassis?

Depending on how old it is it will either be MEV or RTR that produced it.

EBay listing stated that it was about 4 years old, and by the look of the pictures on the listing. - Yes, spemato I believe it is a legitimate MEV chassis manufactured and sold by RTR while under license to MEV. Give Stuart Mills a call at MEVltd or contact Linknigel

Thanks for the replies all, it appears it is indeed a circa 2010 RTR supplied Rocket.

Dear All, has anyone ever looked to weather proof a rocket? I an thinking about possibility of clear polycarbonate sheet on the inside of chassis as I imagine water spray and stones can be quite painful? I have seen this before on an atom anyone done similar to a rocket??? Thanks Craig

I've gone for a waetherproof rockect, as has nigel and many others...it's called the Sonic ;-) Seriously though, like any kit car (or anything else in life), the only limits are your budget, imagination, and the law!
