Here is a picture from my set up. I switched out the normal nut that came with the hubs for a castle nut and split pin combo. So shouldn't need to worry about loosening off. This mod was carried out ages ago as this issue was mentioned on the forum before. The rear of the stub axle was attached using an M12 bolt with large thick washer with a lock/shake proof washer.

Toyo TR1's were good or even the continental contact 5/6's are a good tyre.
A few used to use the toyo R888 slicks...

I've sent an e-mail with the ECU calibration attached and another e-mail with a link to the OMEX software for you to download.

Just for info, I used the vented discs from a Peugeot 407 coupe. They are dirt cheap and only need the PCD changed to the ford one, a garage should be able to do that for you.

Temp sensor is controlled from the ECU, I think it is set around the 90 degree mark. The water temp is displayed on the dash, if the car is stationary the temp picks up so just keep an eye on it and you will hear the fan kick in. The temp stays pretty constant when the car is moving and the fan very rarely kicks in due to the way I funneled the air through the rad at the front. It will only really come on if you get stuck in traffic or you have it running whilst stationary.
This temp can be set from the ecu software which you can download from the OMEX website for free.

Andrew
Have you drained the old brake fluid out and put new stuff in. Remember it's been sitting for a long time with that DOT 4 stuff in there so it may need changed.
If you want to isolate one brake at a time you can remove the M10 connection on the caliper and fit a female blanking cap, the caps should be relatively cheap and would save clamping the hoses.
Also the master cylinders for the brakes are individual for front and back. The right hand one and middle are for the brakes, these can be adjusted to put more force on the pistons. I have a really heavy foot and a size 13 shoe so I may have adjusted them to apply slightly less force so i didn't brake them so it may be worth while setting them up for your foot pressure.
After fitting the bigger vented discs on the front I found the front brakes to be much better than the solid discs and tended to bring the car to a stop an awful lot quicker.
As Kiwi mentioned I bought one of those one man bleed kits, they are very good just attach the hose to a tyre and the pressure pushes the fluid out the bleed nipple. I must admit I spent ages originally bleeding the system, way more than twice. When you bleed the rear brakes try jacking the back of the car up so any air in the system should head towards the calipers. I may still have that bleed kit I'm digging out those track rod ends for you so if I come across it I'll chuck it in the box with the other bits.
If you jack the car up at the front and spin the wheels, press the brake and see if you can force the wheel round. When I was bleeding the system I used a pole to apply pressure to the brakes and tried spinning the wheels both front and back this will give an idea of the brake force being applied.

I have a GoPro Hero 2 with a few bits and pieces going with it if anyone is interested.
£60 the lot and probably £10 postage.
There is a 3d double camera case. Needs another Hero 2 to link up. Never used so still basically new. Screen attachment. WiFi attachment. Remote control. Couple of camera housings. A tough Case. 3x batteries and a US charger. Unfortunately there are no attaching brackets but these are cheap to buy from ebay.

SOLD, SOLD , SOLD...
The bargain of the year has now gone to a new home. Hopefully the new owner Andrew will be active on here once he gets the time to get the car ready for the road.

Prospective buy on route this weekend so it's been cleaned and in the sunlight for the first time in a long while. Tell the truth, sitting in the garage all this time it didn't need much just a wipe down and a turn over of the engine which went first time.
Nice little bundle of spares going with it, still more to come I think when I work my way through all the junk in the garage.
Sad to see it go, but onwards and upwards...

I think your correct but it needs to go. It's been sitting around in the garage for too long when it should be on the road. I said someone would get a bargain...If it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks I will just keep it and find the time to get it back on the road.

I've taken some additional pictures of the car in the garage today so this is how the car sits at the minute. No rust as it's always been kept in the garage so everything is still nice and shinny. As I said previously it's just done over 1000 miles. I disconnected the battery when I SORN's the car and put it on a conditioning charger. All coolant was drained. I left the oil in but have a new 5ltr ready to go in. Unfortunately due to the rain I couldn't wheel it out on to the drive for pics but will get them when the weather permits. Couple of engine bay pics. Side pod for air intake into the TB's, There is one on the other side as well. Interior pics. Front end pics with DRL's on. 2 sets one under the main lights the other built in to the fenders. Fuel tank and ECU cover. I fitted a fan that can be switched on to keep the ECU cool if needed. Black covers draw heat. Engine bay with cover fitted. I didn't usually use this and the plan was to get rid of it eventually. TRS seat belts and a picture of the concealed fuel filler cap, access through the side pod. After taking these pics I realised that I will be sorry to see it go but however buys it will be getting an absolute bargain.
