Confirmed the relay on the left is the TNS relay (parking lights). Are you using the stock light switch? If so, the relays clicked on because you probably have the switch set on. Also, that rapid clicking you're hearing is probably the starter relay. That happens when the battery doesn't have enough juice to turn the motor. Try jumping it. I'm a phone call away if you need me.

Thank you John and Greg. Both of your comments directed me to the solutions. The clicking on battery connect was due to the fact that I had the lights turned on on the stalk. The reason why the starter wasn't turning is really embarrassing. I didn't depress the clutch pedal before turning the key . I am a total idiot, but I am a happy idiot because the solution was so easy. This Saturday I will put some gas in the tank and tighten the clamps on the exhaust and fire up that thing. Obviously very excited!.

Sometimes it is good to walk away from the project and let things churn a little.

Great to hear that it was something simple.

It's alive. Sort of.
Will try to start it for real this weekend.

So thing Sunday, after tightening a lot bolts and putting the gas in, this happened:
No smoke, no leaks, no sparks. We spent the rest of the day giving riders to family.

After the rides we gave on Sunday, the floors were pretty scuffed up. I decided to try something different. I made templates of the floors before I riveted the panels on. I used a 1/4" rubber mat from Tractor Supply. I got pretty close to the shape of the floor and it is a nice snug fit.

Got the mirrors installed as well. They are tiny and adorable. Not sure now useful they will be though.

Awesome progress! I'll have to bring mine over next time I'm visiting my parents in Hagerstown.

Alex - one thing to watch out for, when you start fitting bodywork. Tape up or otherwise protect the timing belt bump on your valve cover, or good chance it will get scuffed up the first time you put the nosepiece on. I unfortunately found that out the hard way just recently.

I am going to have to do a lot of touch ups all over the car

Sounds like a meet-up of builders should be kicked around to happen at some other interesting event - Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals - 2016, maybe ?!?!
BTW - the TSC floor mat idea is brilliant! Will be stopping there this weekend to get some for my car!
