We're practically building twins. I just wish I was as far along. Good job!

As I am inching closer to completion, I am starting to think about lighting. For the headlights, Geoff (steadfast) sent me his old dominators that I plan to mount on these. I think this is the simplest and cheapest solution. Once I pass the inspection, I might consider LED options, but that is in the future. As far as the tail lights, I'll be looking at the cheapest solution to get me registered with something like these. Long term, I am trying to do something different from what people have been doing with cutting and installing round led trailer lights in the tank cover. What I have been thinking is to install these led bars vertically on the diagonal support bar where rear wing would go. I can use the same clamp as I plan to use for headlights, but removing the arm and using that screw to attach the actual light bar. Let me know what you guys think if you can visualize it

I like that (long term) tail light idea ... and in all honesty, will probably go with Dominators coupled with grill mounted (but quick disconnect for track use) LED auxiliary lights up front.
Found some REALLY cool 5 in 1 headlights on the UK side, called Venoms. Unfortunately, I cannot find anyone in North America who offers these, but an import of the EU version (where the light pattern matches our left hand drive better than the UK version would I am told) is not out of the question yet.

Yeah, I saw those headlights in the other thread. They look cool, but they are too big and too expensive for me. On the way home, I happen to be driving behind the trailer with the lights I was looking at on Amazon. This is to give you an idea of the scale. Couldn't snap a better picture as I was driving .

Quick question. I am running a harness and I found a plug that is not labeled. Does anyone knows what it is? This one is on the harness that runs to the trunk.

I feel accomplished this weekend. I have reinstalled the steering column and started the wiring. Most of the harness in now connected. I also realized that I either didn't label everything or some of the labels came off. I have put the stock wheel back on temporary to test the steering and see how everything fits. I get now why people trim the harness. There are so many useless wires, but I am not comfortable to do this yet. I need to install the radiator, and I think I'll be able to test starting the car.

Alex,
What are you running for an exhaust system?

I finished reinstalling stock suspension bits back on. The floor is 7 3/4 inches off the ground in the back and 7 1/2 in the front. I have identified all 10 ground points, and will be grounding them next. I have cleaned up wiring a bit, but haven't cut anything yet. I still find a few connectors on the harness that I either forgot to label, or somehow lost the label. This is one of them on the driver side engine bay harness that runs to the headlights. I have mocked the radiator placement but don't feel comfortable mounting it yet because I am not sure how much clearance I am going to have on top and bottom with bodywork on. Getting really close to being able to start the car, very excited!
