Hi Westie,
Is the fog lamp "E" marked, an extract from the IVA manual:
All rear fog lamps must display an “e” or “E” mark with a “B” or “F”
Worth checking.
Regards,
Steve.

IT will fail IVA unless there are a couple of threads showing through the nut.

Fog has to be on the offside, so if you swap you fog/ reverse lights they will be fine.

I chopped the front half of the U bracket off and fitted it with just 4 bolts (on a Replicar but basically the same chassis), mines a mk2.5 and fitted straight on the ppf.

Thanks gwnwar, yes she was a bit surprised but also relieved she wouldn't have to cook a huge pan of chilli for everyone when they came round.
I'm not planning to line the boot or put wheel arch liners on, at least not until after it's passed the IVA and is on the road.

Hi, I've got the same indicators to use on the side, it might be worth checking the wattage is high enough to pass the IVA inspection, they do need to be brighter on the front than a side indicator (I think).

I've put slots about 10 cms long in the frame where it bolts to the chassis to allow some adjustment.

I had thought about crinkle paint or turned aluminium but I quite like the matt black finish so I will leave it as it is for the moment.
The dash was easy enough to wire in, I had to get a pressure transducer from the states for the oil pressure and needed a resistor in the fuel guage wiring to get the fuel level correct.
The USB connector is for a sat nav.

I've finished my dash at last. It took a while to sort out the sensors and wiring but it's all now working and reading correctly.

I thought that joint was part of the collapsible section, mine definitely isn't welded Mk2.5. Has anyone seen a column like this?

Has the collapsible part of your steering column (in the top picture) been welded? I'm not sure the IVA inspector will like that.

R2S - I would check with Stewart but I think the originals did have the bottom 2 bars (they didn't have the diagonal brace) as they are certainly show in Stewart's original build blog. I'd hate your rear bodywork to collapse if you haven't got them.
