I've deleted my ABS and bought a non-ABS servo, master cylinder etc from eBay.

Hi Paul,
I've got a feeling that, as you say, poly bushes designed to harden the ride on a standard MX5 at nearly double the weight will give a very hard ride on a Replicar. My donor had over 70'000 miles on it and all,the bushes were fine so I've reused all my original bushes and will see how they go.

Hi Paul,
Have fun, I've just finished refurbing my mx5 parts, I ordered my kit 7 weeks ago so hopefully will get it soon. Make sure you check before you throw anything away, I didn't do too bad but think my lower radiator brackets might have been in the boot when my shell was taken away :-( .

I love the wheels as well, what size/offset are they. You might just have saved me a grand, thank you.

I painted my tank a couple of weeks ago, spent 30 mins with acetone to get the rubber/glue off first and it came up lovely.

Hi Spud,
Hope you find an easy solution to the fuel filler.
I built an AK427 a few years ago, on that I just fitted a vented fuel cap, passed IVA no problems.
I also had the same boot handle you want to use, again this caused no problems on the IVA, it was fitted to the rear of the boot lid though.
Steve.

Hi Spud,
Good job on the boot. I was just looking through the IVA manual (my copy is a couple of years old) and came across this about fuel fillers:
14. Fuel tank filling points must not be located in the passenger compartment, luggage compartment or within an engine compartment.
It might be worth checking in the latest IVA manual to see it this still applies.
Steve.

Hi Everyone, As you may have guessed from my user name, my name is Steve, I live just outside Norwich. I've been lurking on the forum for a few months now and at the moment I'm planning on a Replicar but I'm going to wait until I've visited the factory until I make my final decision. I'm not a complete kit car virgin, I built an AK 427 a few years ago, but I'm still planning on asking a few stupid questions from time to time. Anyway, I'll attach a few photo's (hopefully) of where I am so far, looking forward to the experience. My AK My Donor Where I am now Steve.
