Firstly, apologies on behalf of the club this has taken so long to get sorted.
nigel did a fantastic job of organising the previous events, but he's decided to step down and between myself, Sylv and Micky (
mscott ) we've taken on the event.
The Date: Saturday 14th July - 8:30am to 4:30pm
The Venue: Curborough Sprint Course
www.curborough.co.ukThe Deal: You get to take your car around the world famous Curborough Sprint course as fast (or as slow) and as many times as you like until you run out of daylight, fuel or tyres!

The Format: This is the easy bit. You turn up for the briefing, sign a disclaimer, get in your car and go.
We will be running the day as a "1 off, 1 on" format so as soon as the last person leaves the track, the next person starts.
This should give everyone plenty of time to show their skills of nailing the apexes or how long they can hold a drift, it's up to you. Once you've done your hot lap, come on in, join the back of the queue and go again!
0-60 challenge: Who has the quickest car? During the lunch break we will be running a competition to see who tops the leader board... the winners will get a special prize!
Show and Shine: Who's gone that extra mile? Who's spent more time polishing their car than driving? This most coveted award will be judged by the one and only Stuart Mills.
Camping: Of course! It wouldn't be a Summer Fun Day without a stop over! The site will be open from 5pm on Friday evening for anyone wishing to make a weekend of the event. There will be a marquee to shelter in and hopefully a modest PA so we can listen to Bob's eclectic taste in music
Food: The onsite cafe should be open from 9am for food and drinks, and we expect the Ice Cream van to make an appearance. Picnics are encouraged, just not while out on track!
Extras: An official (professional!) photographer will be in attendance to catch all the action with the option to buy images on the day. Tuition from our in-house team of real life racing drivers will be available free of charge. They'll sit with you for a couple of laps and give you some pointers. Just grab them when they're not busy.
Other Info: All MEV owners and builders are welcome, whatever you drive, but the track time is only available for MEVs, so don't bring the family Zafira along hoping for some track action. If your car can be driven, it should be OK on the track (subject to a once over from the organisers)
