Hi guys,
I've lurked around for a while and finally decided to post. I'm slowly starting my ITB build exocet; currently in the process of dismantling my '99 Miata and working through the existing issues, which it has plenty of.
I'll be doing 4AGE-20V blacktop ITBs on the motor with Techno Toy adapter plates and Jenvey horns. I understand that I won't get the power and bang for buck from ITBs but I feel it will be a great fit for the car once completed and I've always wanted ITBs. Another thought I had was to boost it with ITBs later down the road, though I am not sure how to execute that.
Let me know if you guys have tips/tricks when it comes to ITBs or if anyone has done them before. I'll be posting pics in a few days.
Nermin

If you want power go with boost, if you want the eye candy / NA feel go ITB's. Going both is a large waste of money IMO.

Yeap, totally understand. I'm going with ITBs for no other reasons than desire, really. And the sound and extra power (I should be able to net ~190whp) are added bonuses.
What sort of power are you seeing with the 3071? Thanks for the quick feedback!

I'm at 285 right now, but I'm only limited by my coils. 350 will be relatively easy to hit.

Wow, that's awesome. I have plenty of time to re-think the strategy. Worst case, build an ITB and have a wonderful time tuning it and then turbo once power greed starts. From your pic though, that manifold looks like the jenvey one?

Begi intake, FM exhaust, skunkworks 70mm throttle body, and the list goes on and on.

The TSF EFR setup is probably the best "complete" kit right now for miatas. Too bad its not in my ball park.

Nermin when you get your chassis on, I'd like to pop down one evening, for a look-see. More than welcome. I just received news that my kit should be arriving on the 21st November...a little longer than anticipated but gives me enough time to refurbish everything. I have also finally settled on the EFR7163 from Full-Race in twin-scroll flavor. I was debating whether I get the 6758 or the 7163 but decided to go the 7163 twin-scroll route due to negligible price difference and higher glass ceiling. Please advise if you guys think this to be a silly/poor choice. I do not want a drag-machine but a trackable toy with great response in the 4000-7000rpm range. Along those lines, I'm getting a custom twin-scroll exhaust manifold from Hellafab; check out some of his products on his facebook page as he does awesome work. I'll be posting some pics soon hopefully.

A twin scroll efr sounds bananas. Makes my 6258 seems like stale brownies. Nov will be here in no time!

I'm very much looking forward to it In the meantime I've exchanged a few emails with Hellafab and he seems like a very nice guy with decent pricing. The twin scroll, custom SS manifold should run me around $1,100 shipped. It's not exactly cheap but neither is the entire project so let's do it some justice. With the ethanol kit I'm hoping to run a very decent 330-350hp at around 15-16psi.

So parts started arriving; got all the bushings and timing belt kit. What spring stiffness do you recommend to go with the koni sports on the exocet (if at all Koni sports?)?
