I really didn't want to drill my firewall just yet, I'm following steadfast's build and looping the wires over the top of the frame. Great progress tho!

So close and yet so far LOL.
After 2 hrs today finagling with the exhaust / downpipe, I can't see how my stock 1.6 will bolt up.
The downpipe is barely 1mm from the side rails and I'm sure will touch when it moves around with the engine.
There is no way the huge OEM catalytic will bolt in.
I think my first real drive will be to an exhaust shop for them to customize my downpipe or weld a test pipe. Hope its not going to be too expensive as I don't want to spend $$ on an exhaust that I'll toss once I'm past SB100.
Edit: Whoops just realized Enthuzcar makes a 1.6 test pipe for only $44 !

So my stock pipe is 2" .. smallest pipe Enthuzcar make is 2.25". Think I'll try to head to that exhaust shop next week. Also got my brake fluid in and lines bled today. No big leaks. That's a relief. Also, since my brakes are sorted, both my tail lights aren't automatically lit all the time anymore. When I signal left / right, the other side doesn't dim in / out unless I'm braking at the same time. I'll need to get that issue sorted eventually but I can live with that for now. Wish I can get a test drive today but it doesn't look like it will happen. Wasted too much time this weekend f'kin with the exhaust without any progress. Bummer.

Here's what I did. Went up and over the PPF. It was a TIGHT fit but it fits.

Determined to get a test drive this week so I took the day off work to button a few things up. Fabbed up some bracket to hold my cone intake in place.

Is there any reason running brackets off the brake bolts for fender mounts would be a bad idea ?

Did some finish wiring today. Relays are now hard mounted vs floating around before. Wires are cleanly routed. Fog lights fully wired in. Hood is fully mounted with pins. Finally feel like I'm in the home stretch of the build. The front half of my car is pretty much 'done'. Mandatory pics below.
