will prob make some sort of panel after its IVA tested. sure this car will be an ongoing project. At the moment I've just used P clips and wire straps to hold it all. its out of sight when the bonnets on and cant be seen from the seated position anyway. your right though, best option is to shorted, but really dont cant to cut and reattach 50 odd wires! Wasnt going to bother with te tank initially as its hiddden by the grp, but now you've got me thinking....

Sounds good like the idea of the centre console going to have to be some loud speakers to hear any music if your planning driving with a helmet on to avoid bugs and stones in your face tho. S2000 starter buttons are nice bit expensive for the kits tho or an old focus rs one if you can find a cheap one. will be alot of work redoing the wiring but if your happy and go on give the poor old tatty fuel tank a lick of paint, seems a shame not too

Nice work again!
Though, I'm pretty sure that all the wiring has to be covered right up to its ends for SVA purposes. Either self amalgamating tape, spiral wrap or convoluted tubing. There is a link on the forum here for the new manual as at 18th Oct.
Oh and Savage starter buttons on ebay are much cheaper than oem Honda ones!

I'm assuming this is the paragraph from the IVA manual.
All electrical cables/wires must be free from chaffing and secured at intervals of at least every 300mm unless contained in a secure hollow component.
8. All electrical components must be secure be of adequate capacity and insulated as required as to prevent short circuiting during operation.

Have a read over on locost builders forum though...
They have a thread where everyone posts their IVA fail points and some centres seem very picky about the insulation. Some poor guy was failed cos his insulation stopped an inch short of the connector. It would just be much easier to cover it all now.

There is no kind of brace on our MX5 there either...
Alex, did you have to relocate the rear brake pipe connector box? Ours seems to not clear where the panel behind the drivers seat will be attached.
