Not sure your steering wheel will be IVA compliant. The spokes have to be padded. Put a standard MX5 wheel on until after the IVA.

Lights don't have to be e marked or anything. as long as they perform the function the same as a standard car they are fine. Probably get similar lights on e bay for a fraction of the cost. Ah thought you needed to be e marked.. And the usual radius compliance. Just the height of he floor for the clusters that bothers me

Oh god didn't think about that hasn't checked that part of the manual yet. Just wrap it for the IVA if I can get away with that. Don't have a complete wheel only a momo one and a standard mk2 without airbag

I read somewhere that (may have been on your blog) someone used the standard MX5 steering wheel with the airbag removed and filled the void with foam and covered the foam in black vinyl of some sort. maybe that helps?

Can anyone confirm or deny if you need e-marked lights for IVA all I can find is the fog needs an F or other letter which I have already forgotten, oops. Means quite big savings getting cheaper ones...

Another good day on the car, rear tub mounted, fuel tanks and lines sorted and earthed. Just need to bond the filter mounts when I open some sealant and some p clips. Cooking on gas now. Spring for IVA I'm hoping.

Nice, im not far behind you how did you gaugue the amount of space you needed with the washers? I was thinking of raising the tank about about 20mm or so

Mine is a mk2 tank and the front left nearly touches the subframe, I just spaced it to clear that. Think it's 25mm ish.

Ah I see I think you have an earlier chassis to me aswell, as I have to flip my MK2 tank around to get the holes lined up with the brackets (just about, after bending them in a good 15mm) I read somewhere that rubber spacers are better than washers as the tank is notorious for rattling on the washers, im going to use off cuts of fuel line as a large rubber spacer, maybe that will work, we'll see

Yeah mine is a 2012 chassis I bought it as an unfinished project from a guy off here.

Thats my second idea if the brake line spacer mod doesn't work

In case useful - I think that back in an old build thread there was a recommendation for some bolts which are fitted thru rubber mounts - a type used used in pressure washers if I remember rightly.

Not sure if this helpful, but im at a similar stage and came across a set of washing machine transit bolt that I cut down. Seem to work ok with height adjustment on bolt.
