The EGR tube connects the exhaust manifold with the intake manifold. Your arrows point to where the tube connects to the intake manifold. That tube runs behind the upper part of the head near the coil packs over to the exhaust manifold or header. I can try and get a pic of my set up in the AM here but I have a lot of hoses and brake lines with ABS running in the same area.

I have had a Google and will check out my car tomorrow. Looks like you can get egr delete kits. Also need to try and find a guide as to which hose connects where I have a mk1 engine sitting around but not the same sadly.

You should have 2 hoses going to the throttle body 1 on front 1 on outside. You say no water cooler between oil filter and block with 2 hose off of it right..

Radiator is fully mounted and rock solid so big tick off the list today. Got a mate coming round to look at my hose dilemma shortly. But so far a very productive day.

Long time no post. A month away with work and life getting in the way.
Today has been good though water system nearly done all hoses and clamps in place, bar the radiator cap to the expansion tank, need to purchase some pipework for that.
New panel made for behind the pedals, fits nice and just need to drill and rivet.
Finally the big excitement, clutch system filled and pressure bled and I have a pedal. Good day, something actually finished on the car. The only reservation I have I the pedal has approx 2mm of travel before the stop as the pedal hits the structure, hoping this should be enough to release the clutch when it's alive. Can't space the pedal box any more as the studs for the steering column are already at max. Could always shave the pedal a tad with the dremmel, a job for when it's running I think.

Really happy with the new wheel, just need a resistor for the airbag light and a horn button to be put somewhere.

I'm away for a few days and was going to purchase all my lights and have taken hours looking at aesthetics, position and of course IVA compliance.
I think I will fit a 3rd central brake light post IVA as I am concerned about the distance of stop light to fog.
The only problem is I am going to use square all in one, tail, reflector, Indicator, stop units and mount them to the rear cycle wings, but reading the IVA they may be to close to the ground 350mm. Can someone check the height of the cycle wings off the floor pretty please...?

All the units I'm going to buy below, I think they are all IVA compliant need to ring CBS and check.
