Question time again... Is there any spec that the the metal bodied fuel filter needs to be as I have just bought a small sintered brass one from CBS but worrying now if it will restrict fuel flow?

I hate to say it but probably not.
In my cbs catalogue it's listed under carburettor filters, not injection filters. As such it's probably not going to cope with the pressure and you may end up with fuel everywhere.
Sorry

Doesn't look like much of a filter element.. Maybe for a carb not injectors.. If you can go OEM not the prettiest but it works.. Don't need to be in BFE with no fuel flow or leak..

Doh, if you go to the second page of fuel filters there is yours. Oops, look more throughly next time still less than a tenner wasted. Drop in the ocean so far.

Productive day today. Fuel tank stripped and painted and then fitted, just under the rear panel! Old crappy rad thrown out for my aluminium high flow that I think I can get to fit with some mods to the two fan housings to drop it low enough. And finally some of my new bling bling green hoses.

Question time again. One of my mates pointed that I have ridged mounted the fuel tank as you can see above but that I should get rubber mounts. Any tips or advice how your tanks are mounted? It's spaced perfectly now to avoid hitting the diff, might cry if I have to start again.

Check out other build threads but I think your approach is fairly common. If you were to mount it on rubber mounts you'll also need an earthing strap to the chassis.

It is hard mounted in the MX5.. Don't see any problems that way..

From IVA manual section 3A fuel tanks, point 5:
All metal fuel tanks must have an earth path to prevent the build up of static electricity. (this may be a separate bonding or the mounting arrangement where it does not isolate the tank)
