Im in the exact position with spacers, i have brought new wheels with et38 and spoke with stuart from freakyparts, he advised to get them on the car and pack out with washers until the ideal offset is found, measure it and then order spacers i spent days worrying about the offset and all along it wasnt a big deal, just get the wheels you like and then get the spacers to match afterwards!

I found 35mm spacers bring it pretty close to miata fitment.

That's the maths, you may find it easier to get 25mm or someone else might be able to advise if you can get away with 20mm. Make sure you get hub centric ones. Many use Freakyparts spacers. He's on here but I forget his username right now sorry. I should really change my username to FreakyParts Like said above, best way is to test fit the wheels, see how far they need to be spaced out by and let me know. We can make the custom spacers to order any thickness you like. Also, the arch stays and wheel arches are adjustable (with a big bar) so if they're not perfect, you can tweak them this way.

Hi quiddy, build looks great so far. I've just bought murfees part finished Exocet and I've got HSD coilovers too. I've found on the highest setting the car still sits really low at the moment. If you get some wheels on at some point can you tell me what your ground clearance is like. Cheers, nigel

So its been quite a while since ive updated this thread but things having been progessing nicely, now that the engine was running nicely ( thanks Gwnwar), I thought i should come up with a solution for mounting the tank. first off was a heat shield wether its needed or not, i didnt want to take the risk. Started of with all sorts of weird and wonderful shapes but settled for the easiest.
After that was the tank, ive read all sorts of threads regarding rubber mounts for the tank and whilst routing around the garage saw a set of washing machine transit bolts. just the job, cut down some of the rigid plastic and hey presto.
Also rerouted some of the fuel lines as i wasnt quite happy how they doubled back on themselves.
Time to tidy up the fuse box. Printed some labels at work. not perfect but definatley better than before.
Then came the airbox. As many people have said its prety tight around here anyway. but the Japspeed radiator that i have fitted definatley is'nt helping matters, the original airbox wouldnt fit with the "blister" underneath so that got cut off, but i didnt like the way it wobbled at the end. so a quick look on ebay and i got a japspeed induction kit with a filter for £40. Problem solved. OH No the angle of the japspeed pipework puts the cone filter straight into the suspension mount. nevermind a 45' degree bend and one mushroom filter and problem sorted. Its a bit tight under the bonnet but it should be ok.
On the Suspension, so having got a nice set of HSD Monopro from welshy1. i thought it was time to fit them for the final time. gave them a bit of a clean down and a lick of aldi's best quite happy with results really.
On with freakyparts spacers and temporary wheels and its started to resemble a car.

What size are the tubes on that muffler.. They look small compared to the other tubes.. looks like you may be choking the exhaust down..Don't want that..
