So after a few weeks off thanks to work. Got back to it today and we managed to get the flywheel, clutch and gearbox fitted although pretty sure it wasn't supposed to take that long. We must of had it on and off about 5 times anyway it's on. Just a quick question though there seem to be more holes in the bellhosing than bolts, I bagged all the bolts on removal could someone please confirm how many there should be. And some shiny bits turned up today to.

I just changed out my motor last night. I'll take some pics of the bolts for you.
What paint did you use on the transmission housing?

Thanks, the paint is just silver rim paint. It's got quite a good temp range but we'll have to wait and see. I used aluminium zinc oxide on the head, but the gearbox has a better finish.

Also worth noting that the tranny will not fit out the bottom of the car if you do not remove your 3" downpipe. It will however fit out the top but when you turn it to get it out all the tranny fluid will make a nice puddle on your lovely garage floor. My Bad.

Has anyone had any experience with ebc yellowstuff brakes on the road? Just trying to buy some more shiny bits.

So its been a little while since I've updated the build thread but we've made some progress.
fitted the shiny exhaust manifold and the new hoses from fast5. And cleaned up the HSD coilovers (thanks Welshy).
Got the subframes back together and today i had a little play with the electrics just to see how it would lay on the car. I was dreading this but thanks to the mrs (who labelled every plug) it was pretty painless althought there is a lot of it to hide.
Having laid it all out we decided to see how much room there was down the center tunnel.
SPOT THE HALLOWEEN HAND!!!!!!
Back to the tunnel there seems to be enough room to run everything along the ppf. Until it reaches the rear of the ppf where there seems to be very little room. Is this Normal? I have a full flexi braided brake line kit can any one see a problem with mounting it along the top of the ppf ?
A full set of shiny new calipers turned up today and I've also ordered some ebc turbo groove discs and yellow stuff pads. hopefully it will be a productive weekend.

Running a flexi brake hose along the PDF is possible but tight at the very rear of the Exocet chassis. I did this originally but then changed mine so the the hose ran inside the cockpit. Through the bulkhead (simple slot in the passenger ally panel with a bit of edge trim to stop chaffing). Couple of rivenuts in the ally trans cover then use p clips (used rivenuts in case I every need to remove ally trans cover). Them along the inside of the Exocet PPF/ gearbox drive shaft steel tunnel. Against using p clips
Somewhere in my built thread I have photos of this.
Brake pipe is always accessible and protected from undercar road debris

Cheers mate. I think the hardest part is going to be finding somewhere to hide it all.
