Looks good!
Question: your fuel tank, is it new, or did you sand blast it and then powder coat / paint?

Phil, your car should look a bit like this when its finished, when I saw this one come up for sale I decided to trade in my race chassis, it's taken a few days work to get it to a stage where I thought it was safe to drive it on the road....it really is a fun thing. Lou.

Glad to see you kept those numberplates Lou! And new rims too by the looks! What did you do with the other black ones? I might be interested in them if they are not on another mx5!

Unfortunately the black wheels don't fit, was a bit of a struggle finding wheels that do fit.

Took it apart and cleaned filter sock inside tank, but that's about it. Still getting my head around the fuel plumbing but hopefully will resolve soon as first engine start is looming !

Hi Jon, best colour scheme, eh ? Very tidey result there - good work. Seem to remember this vehicle in a partial build state on an older blog - looks good finished. Turbo from memory - was this DIY or outsourced ? seems like the natural upgrade once finished ! All the best Phil

Is that the Exocet radiator too Phil? Mines at theowdercoaters at the moment so will hopefully be driving to get it soon. Did you fix the exhaust issue? I'm hoping with an nb8b this won't be an issue but I guess I'll find out.
I'm pretty sure Lou's car is just n/a but I think he was going to turbo the race frame (correct me if I'm wrong Lou) I'm a bit worried about comments re wheels too. I don't particularly want to space them and would rather stick with the oem enkei's that are on it

Fits well but looks like I'll be shopping for fan (see thread below). Meant also to say gear boot is mx mania.com.au (good service from those guys). Re: exhaust, I am waiting for local mechanic/ welder to chop/re weld so unresolved at this stage. Quite keen to do this plus rudimentary electrics so I can turn over donk and feel some progress ! Cheers phil

Are you going to be able to mount coolant fans with intake as is.. Hi George. Welcome - I have noticed through your active and informed comments elsewhere you are the guru ! Been waiting for you in fact ! At risk of appearing amateurish (which I am), I did wonder if I could get away without cooling fan. Any thoughts on this concept (or must-have?). Cheers phil
