that looks like 6mm plate and with the spacers it will not be tight up against the head. Perhaps the hole for the pulley is low too. I would be tempted to "adjust" what you have. You see what I mean about the pulley being close to the one below. This looks like it was copied from one of the original few I had made. The later one positioned the pulley higher and was made of 8mm plate. Maybe it could be braced on to a manifold bolt as I imagine it could flex on those 2 bolts.

My winter mods is re wrap centre tunnel and get rid of centre console maybe and mount gauges on bonnet cover that way my knees won't keep knocking it. Tell me Bob is the knee knocking related in any way to the unleashing of the supercharger

RE Pully bracket. Ours was the same, we modified it by welding crush tubes to provide spacing from the block and trimmed it to work around the manifold stud. With these mods it is working fine. I know some folk with big power , forced induction systems, find the bracket is not strong enough and have made stronger versions. On a stock ST170, I don't think it is needed. perhaps I don't drive it with enough enthusiasm...

Yeah, the idea is as Stuart said, to adjust what I have. The tube I used to space the bracket is substantial with a fairly thick wall but I didn't weld it to the bracket, so that might be worth doing, also maybe I should make the spacer tubes shorter as mine look a bit longer than the ones you have used daydreamer. I was also going to weld in a triangular webbing to the inside of the bracket to stiffen it up.

perhaps you could weld the web to one of the spacer tubes, that would make it stiff

Yeah, webs for the spacers to stiffen them, good idea. Thanks for the input guys, first job is to get the engine cover off so I can get to these things!

Is there any way to put a third "stud" close to where the bend in the bracket is?
I am thinking this would give support rather than act as a clamp.
Thus it could be a piece of threaded rod with a nut both side of the bracket.

Kiwi, not sure there is anything to seat a third stud to.

Tried to have a look at mine tonight, it was supplied by OMEX, unfortunately I could not see much really except my bracket is clearly a lot more substantial.
The lever effect on the bolts will be huge in reality, any bracing you can get in has to help.
Could you take a picture from the side?

I'll take some pics when I get the engine cover off.

Quick update. I managed to get the engine cover off and have a look at this and as already stated there isn't really anything substantial to seat a third bolt onto. However, when I came to take the bracket off I found that the bolts holding it on were not as tight as they should have been, not loose but not properly tightened. This and the fact that the ends of the spacers were not seating totally flat meant that the bolts holding the bracket on could flex slightly, so it wasn't the bracket flexing but the bolts! I have now welded the spacers to the bracket and made the ends of the spacers as flat as possible (by hand) and having re-fitted it, it is now much more solid. Just need a new belt and that is one job ticked off

Well I am back on the road with the Rocket sporting some lovely new wheels and tyres
The engine cover is staying off so I need a cover for the aux belt and some dressing up to make it look nicer.

I like those seats, do they fit in there without having to modify the centre tunnel.
What model are they.

Yes they fit just, but the shoulder bolster is against the tube up to the roll bar which is ok for me (5' 10"ish) but someone taller might have trouble moving them any further back. They are Corbeau Club Sport seats, www.corbeau-seats.com/motorsports-seats/ClubSport
