So having said hi I guess I best start doing some work, my kit arrives in a couple of weeks hopefully and I've been merrily stripping an R1. Its a 2000 so carb model to keep life nice and simple. A few bits have sold but still got stuff to shift to make space, most of the rear end is now serviced and ready to go, new bearings, anodised/painted and re-sealed. I would like to put pictures up but could someone tell me how to do it on an iPhone please cos I can't work it out 😣 I'm much safer with nuts and bolts than technology..........

Hi Andy, First: Foto's are uploaded to a picture hosting site, like photobucket. ( www.ebizmba.com/articles/image-hosting-websites ) Second: On this forum only links are placed to the actual picture on the web. There are threads on this forum exactly explaining how to do it.

Wow. That fairing looks really sweet! During the dissasembly I made pics , put the parts in bags and made adds every day which made the process less fuzzy. Your wife did a great job. Great to share a hobby! br, Erik

Thanks, If you put a 3mm spacer on top of a 35mm won't that make them an ET32? As the spacer takes the hub face closer to the centre line of the rim? Or am I back to front😳

Thanks, If you put a 3mm spacer on top of a 35mm won't that make them an ET32? As the spacer takes the hub face closer to the centre line of the rim? Or am I back to front😳 Sorry Andy...ignore my last measurements Ive just checked my wheels and they have an ET of 40mm +A 5MM spacer so as you rightly said it would be a total ET of 35mm My wheels are 15in rota slipstream and the wheel nuts only have a small amount of thread showing through the wheel which has always bothered me so I ideally want longer studs. I don't know if its the same for other wheels though. Cheers Kevin

No worries, I wasn't sure myself but thought I'd ask, I guess as long as there is 1x diameter of thread in the nut then It should be fine and I would think you would have found out by now if there was a problem😁 I plan to go for 16's as I like the bigger wheel but would also like some tyre side wall to help things out a bit 👍
