Bought the Koso RX2N+ speedo, so time to reverse the fuel gauge sender by bending the float arm. Could have bought / made a circuit to do the matching, however simply decided on the brute force (and what I think will be one 270 ohm resistor in parallel) solution instead: ...before ...after.

Oil and water temp sensors for the Koso dash fitted: Removed plug to the left of the oil pressure sender. Oil temp sensor fitted. Water temp sensor adapter fitted to cooling pipe and sensor fitted.

Looking good huggy. I had a day on the electrics today with my guru, will post some pics tomorrow. I tried to remove the blanking plug so I could fit my koso oil temp sensor like you have but managed to expletive deleted up the bolt and now I can't undo it! Gutted as I wanted an oil temp reading. I daren't dremel any more slots in the bolt (in and effort to get a flat bladed impact driver into the head) for fear of the head collapsing. Made a right hash of it, gutted. Anyways looking good mate

My cousin was able to work wonders with snapped bolts, rounded heads etc... when I was rebuilding a 1972 VW engine back in the past. Hopefully we will both be on the road soon, i.e. in time to make the most of next summer!

My blank in the block also f-ed up so i bought a set of laser easy outs, open the hole out to a snug fit and it worked a treat.

How do you use them?
Look around for Laser and equivalents. I've found halfords horribly overpriced and only use if I'm willing to pay the premium to have it in my hand straight away.

They are stud extractors.
You drill a hole in the centre of the broken bolt then you screw the extractor in, the trick is the fact that the extractor is left hand thread so as it tightens in it undoes the broken bolt.

This all sounds like 2 much hard work :-) if u check ur koso paperwork there are modifyed sump bungs avalible where the sensor srews into the sump bung & with it that way you are picking up the oil temp & possible not picking up any surrounding block temp
