I had the same problem with mine, failed on IVA. The examiner needs to be able to see them from 3 meters back from the rear of the car and 5 degrees out (I believe) - check the IVA manual. It's a stupid rule as they can see the rear indicator from that position anyway. I agree on 2 counts; 1. "stupid rule". 2. 5 degrees. 5 deg right down to the floor too which is why they need moving out. Stupid reasons for the requirement; 1. So you can clout pedestrians with them ! 2. Because the view of them from behind is otherwise blocked by the rear arches if you were laying on the floor. Down to the floor is what caught me out. At the time I indeed stood behind the car and thought "yep, I can see those". Looks like I should have considered the ants and limbo dancers too. Thanks again for highlighting. Hopefully saves me from one other potential failure point. Sent from my Nexus 6P using proboards

Due to the curve of the chassis the indicators have to be moved towards the middle of the chassis to be able to be seen. Mine passed like this.

I seem to remember (but it was 10 years ago) that the side repeaters needed to be on short stems so the rear wing did not block the view at 5 degs right down to the floor. A little trigonometry should determine but it was 45 years ago when I last did that! Reason given was that they serve as a back up to the rear indicators should a bulb pop. Happy birthday Rocket BTW. 2017 is our 10th anniversary.

I've repaired the holes with mat and gel coat, so will now fit repeaters in the front wings like others have. That's one failure point avoided. Thanks :-)
Question: while i have bonnet off, I was thinking to drill holes for the R1 mirrors many use. I was going to copy the location of everyone else but "once bitten, twice shy". Any gotchas I need to be aware of please? I've seen mention of being able to adjust from seat being a concern. Cheers upfront.

A few more small jobs (...need to find more time to get on and finish!) Mirrors fitted (...side repeater holes I made now fixed given they would have failed the IVA in that location). Bracket made for bonnet pin and horns Bonnet mesh bonded That just leaves the wings, IVA prep and I' m done. Tantalizingly close :-)

Following the whole saga of PhotoBucket, it hindered my motivation to log my progress however, I'm happy to say my build continued and recently passed the IVA. The registration plate number was issued yesterday, so once there is a break in the rain, another Rocket will be on the road. Thanks to all for the guidance and help over the years. See you at the next show!
