Well it has been some time since I posted any info or reports . But before I give a update happy new year to all my fellow mev friends and builders , I have been keeping a eye on all build trends and it great to see the family is getting bigger , UPDATE : last September I had a side impact with a wall in the second last Irish kit car day out on the way to meet the rest of the club . Damage report was compleat back hub and suspension both left hand wheels scraped and wheel arches scraped . But slight damage to the left top chassis bar that the bonnet sits on due to the shock pushing It upwards , but all was well both wheels repaired and sprayed cycle wings ready for spraying and back suspension parts ordered , so problem solved with about €300 euro worth of damage , but I did learn a Vitelli lesson that greasy wet roads and a Exocet don't get on
It has to be read and back on the road for 31 febuary as it is will b on the stand in the RDS Dublin classic car show on the Kit Car Sand with 4 other cars in the club .
It great to see there is still building going on
Happy new year
Geoff

A update i think I have all done I just want to get some clips for the bonnet Installed a fly screen ,a bit tricky but it worked Interior finished I think Hope to build a tool box and fit it in the space between the dash and the bulkhead , Make use of the space Fitted the air filter but I wanted add another bit if heat shield between it and the exhaust Has any body fitted some heat shield mat under the bonnet to stop the engine over heating or scorching it went for a couple of mile spin and nothing fell off so far so good just need to get the wheels tracked should make a difference What fun to drive very responsive on the road and a lot of heads turned Waiting for revenue to get back to in regard to the paperwork to arrange the next step to getting on the road Geoff

Congratulations....good looking car.
I fitted a heat shield under the bonnet quite simply because it is recommended in the MEV build guide. Picture on my thread, Oct 23, 2013.

Hi Geoff,
I picked up a couple of rolls of behind-the-rad-reflector stuff in Lidl there a couple of weeks ago with something similar in mind. I want to keep heat away from air filter, don't mind so much it heating up the bonnet. Might be worth considering where it while go though, could get toasty in there for all those cables and pipes.

Hi Geoff, how did it go with Revenue? Did you get VRT and Vat costs? Is it NCT'd?. Im keen to set out a direction/costings before I order my kit.
Thanks Mike
