Well I've managed to spend a good few hours on the car this weekend. I've done the following:
made all the brake pipes and fitted to the chassis with clips,
made a dual throttle cable set-up,
installed accelerator cable,
mounted coolant overflow tank,
installed intake piping,
mounted afpr and vacuum piping,
fitted horns,
mounted mx5 seat runners to new seats,
started to play about with the dash and instruments,
fixed the non working steering lock and one side indicator wouldn't self cancel and straightened the steering wheel,
so in all its been quite busy
coolant overflow bottle
afpr and vacuum supply from standard fuel pressure regulator
horns (fitted using radiator fan mount so you cant see them in the front grill and will ease wiring)
i got my trl supercharger outlet as its a important part of the system plus it came up super cheap so couldn't say no
started on the brake flexi brackets, i did these different to others and mounted mine on the chassis instead of the subframe, drilled and rivnutted and used the two brackets which you get off the horns, and then the brake flexi normal clips. Clearance is fine with the suspension on full travel too.
Used these pipe clips which work well if anyones interested, came super quick too.

rotated the rear brake splitter to give clearence also
dual throttle set-up for charger
started on the seats, took the origional mx5 seat runners off, bent the brackets flat in the vice, took off the joining rod as it was too long for my seats, mounted the runners on the seat the refitted and shortened the joining rod, as others have said if you mount one runner a notch further forward then you can use the full travel of the seat, im 6 foot 3 and used to have my seat fully back in the mx5 but with this i had to actually move the seat forward which is very unusual
steering wheel straight and cowls fitted, then played with the dash pod and centre console, unsure to mount the digi dash on the steering cowl close to the wheel or on the bracket for the steering column?
and finally a few full car shots
next on the to do list is to:
line up the seats and drill and bolt them to the floor,
mount the fuel tank and filter then sort out the fuel lines,
mount the handbrake and cables,
start on the exhaust,
make the supercharger inlet and mount the air filter and maf,
then unless i can think of anything else which needs doing of which there will probably be loads i can make a start on the wiring
Well ill update as i go along, its great to see it starting to look like a car and i actually managed to sit in it propperly for the first time today
