After what could have been an awkward issue reversing in the main car park at Sherburn last weekend, the battery did not perform but to be fair it was a free donation from Kevin and the batteries had probably been stood for years.
I just bought a Lucas 34a Ultra Deep Cycle golf caddy battery for £54.90 inc vat.
I do hope this is up to the job. It's sat on my optimiser now and is showing full so will test this tomorrow.

I was given them in 2005 and they were 2nd hand then, the ones fitted to mine are identical so maybe ill be needing one soon, though they do hold a charge ok and power the reverse system fine. |

It's all good. Just managed to get a test drive in before the rain came. Fuel pump moved back to original position my side of the firewall works properly again. 3rd Cig lighter fitted I hope it's the last :-). Reverse performed brilliant managing to reverse out of my garage and reverse up my dad's drive. Coolant still great no leaks and temp looked fine. Battery indicator doing what I can only presume is it's job and indicating a full battery.
All set for racing at Blyton tomorrow no matter if it rains or shines.
Will get some quality footage at last.

The weather will be typically British, rain showers. I've made my tyre choice, the same that's been on most of last year Can ask tomorrow when the next track day is, that's providing we get invited again. Cheers Kev |
