Haven't bought one yet, think it will be the Healtech one and maybe a Gipro Gear Change display from them too.
Forgot about the Speedo Healer, which one are you getting?

I went for double ovals like these, they came in dreadful Chrome :-) They are now in Satin Black, and knowing that they had no sidelights I drilled and inserted 2 x white LED bulbs in each reflector, they do the job, look neat and tidy and I won't need extra bulky sidelights.

They look good! Where did you get them? Do they have an E-approval (must be casted in the glass somewhere)?

Yes they are a lovely looking headlight, bought from eBay, they are E approved, consist of dip and main beam as a H1 bulb and I added 2 x LED sidelights for a complete headlight solution

Nearly, these are the ones fitted on a standard bracket, I nearly opted for these, but due to knowing how the MSVA might be with that spherical testing tool I steered away and bought the more expensive units with the rounded back shell.

I am thinking to use all the original switch gear from my R1, I looked at the possibilities of using the Savage range of switches again, and although they are nice, I think the idea of using the original all in one neat setup of the original handlebar mounted switchgear is much more appealing. I intend to just cut the wires at some point an extend the entire loom forward for the lights, ignition etc:
Can anyone see any possible problems with this? I understand I will need to put some sort of hazard arrangement in there, but I may get some help with that.
I think I may even utilise the choke feature too, makes sense really if its already there.
I am just trying to minimise my build time and also make something as neat as possible.
Any thoughts and advice are most appreciated
;D

I thought about doing the same thing but decided against for the following reasons
You would still need an additonal sidelight switch, and a seperate hazard switch using the indicators would not be ideal
The original main stalk on the steering coloum has indiacators, main beam and a hazard switch. trying to use the r1 switches i thought would end up been messy in the sense of everything would be all over the place and im not sure how the MSVA would see that.
The last thing which i have not decided is igintion, wether to use the one on the steering coloum or the origanal r1 system. Not a major problem just down to looks.
There is not a great deal of room to put the swtiches
Choke, i think would be simpler to buy a new cable and handle then mount it near the handbrake . The orignal you would still have to buy a new cable and extending it to the dash will just ake up more space
Just my thoughts ! feel free to disagree
