Is the fog light E marked?
Do your rear lights have built in reflectors as the round ones at the end of the tubes are too far from the sides.
How big is the glass on the wing mirrors? Is it above the required size?
Any shots/close ups of the interior, suspension, underside etc? The examiners do like to pick up on small things that you may struggle to see in a photograph of the whole car.

All my lights are e-marked apart from the side repeaters, i was unsure about the reflectors so as you can see i have 4, 2 on the tubes and 2 on the outer edge of the rear mud guards.

It's hard to tell in the photo of the back end, guessing you may have the small led ones, but do you have any number plate lights?

Well i woke up this morning and the weather was a bit annoying so i had had to quickly throw a tapuling over it for the trailered journey. We got there and the car thankfully showed no signs of the rain causing an issue. The test was very thorough and he picked up on the fact that one of my brake lines on full lock just touched the wishbone, i was annoyed about this as i had teted it last night and put cable ties before and after the clip to stop it moving so it looks like it had moved after i had set the distance and before i had put the cable ties on, never the less it was a quick fix and that was all he could pick up on SO IT WAS A PASSSSS!!!!!! just waiting for my insurance company to ring back and i can go to the DVLA and register it Thanks for all the help guys its been hugely appreciated Rich

Definitely, in a week I've got 2 weeks off work so hopefully it will be on the road for them.
Tom, am I right in thinking you had a few issues with b'ham dvla?? I'm thinking of going to the Worcester one as I work in droitwich

Yeah the bham office was a nightmare. Apparently they phoned the Worcester office to see if I could do it any quicker there but they had the same waiting times. Both will require you to take the car for the inspection. They see it as mandatory rather than a random check from my experience

I really don't want to take my car there so ive taken photos of my engine number with the V5 doc number and IVA pass number in the shot, the same with the VIN so will try to argue the toss as its about £150 with the trailer hire and the time off work. Will let you all know how i get on with that "argument"/discussion

They see it as mandatory rather than a random check from my experience I agree - and I can't understand why . Given that VOSA have just seen the car, and inspected it with a fine tooth comb, written out a certificate to say it has passed, it would seem sensible to me that the VOSA inspector could verify whatever it is that DVLA need (so that is engine number and VIN...). I know it is a different department, but it is double handling of the same thing. Simple addition to the MAC to say it has been done, and procedural change for VOSA . Oooh look......another pig flew by. . Seriously Rich, don't hold your breath....I don't think they will go for the photographic evidence route. Good luck....you will soon be on the road, honestly Martin
