I'm honestly flabbergasted at the prices you are getting for the parts!!!

Andy,
My selling tips would be;
remove the parts with care. advert to have good photos & compare to the rest of the sellers prices. research the selling price, and sell a few quid below the 'scarp dealers'. garage & businesses like to purchase on "Buy Now" (thay have usually got a Customer there end to please). quick response to any questions. post the part day you get the money. I have sold a few parts to mainland europe (I assume its because of the ltd edition spec, having desiarble parts for the mx5 fans). Pack well.

Steering Rack
I have managed to get plug the two large fittings with a pair of 5/8" JIC solid plugs (though would look better with the base machined flat) and a M8 x 1mm Grease Nipple.
Struggling to find M12 x 1mm plug for the other fittings, I need 3off. Can anyone suggest a source?

can you not just plug the old unions with solder or braze them ?

I could weld, or even tap out the adaptor and fit a grub screw. I just thought it would look a bit better finished with a plug. Hoping to find a supplier out there....

I spent a slightly ridiculous $50 on a plug kit from Miata Roadster miataroadster.com/mr.html. I figured sourcing the correct sizes locally was going to eat up more time than it was worth, plus it will look better than welding the old fittings.

Arrived at MEV HQ & the kits ready for collection....(ok its a posed photo for Adam @ Complete Kit Car Magazine before everyone expects Stuart to lay their parts out on the grass !!!) Kit loaded & ready to roll (lesson today was, rent a Ford Transit, rather than a Renault - better internal width). And its home in the garage....

As we are going for a red chassis, took Stuart's advice and spent a few hours cleaning the weld splatter off, with scraper, wire rush & a round file...it will be worth it when the powder coated result comes out... Joseph has renewed energy levels to the project, now we have a chassis at home and then we cut the floor

Today, after treating ourselves to a set of files, finished removing all the lumps and bumps from the welded chassis and got the floors fitted. Joseph spent time marking out 100mm the centers and punching. Then started drilling 5mm holes for the blind rivets and finally finished... quick clean up of the holes, before moving to the other side We have had a change of plan and decided not to go with the standard black sides, and have ordered white plastic from Robert Horne www.roberthornedirect.co.uk. Supplied cut for £46.50. Had a good weekend off selling parts on e-bay, so target cost of sub £2K is still looking very good.

I have enjoyed this well documented build very much so far and cant wait to see the finished car. One thing that is insperational to me is your son and the fact you have involved him and he is taking a keen interest in gaining some skills. I Hope my 3 year old son will do the same when he is that age. Keep up the good work both of you

Thanks for the positive feedback, Joseph really liked the cooments... Bought some Ford Focus side markers, I think that they will help emphasize the tubular triangular fabrication (plus I reckon I will sell the MX-5 parts for more than the Ford cost to buy @ £9.25 for a pair). Front indicators, stayed up last night & got these for VW Golf Mk4 LEDs for £7.22, going to try getting these on to the nose cone...

Busy sorting copper fuel pipes, riv nuts, p clips, fuel filter mounting and designs for mounting headlights, side lights, wing mirrors & abs. The white foamex pvc plastic cut sheet & crystal Ford Focus side lights arrived today.
Any suggestions on where to source the (red) seats?
