Finally shifted the lower wishbone bolts (new bolts required). Next jobs for backend, get bigger angle grinder disk to get the head off the O/S ABS sensor bracket, circlip pliers to split the diff, nut splitter to break the propshaft nuts...then knock out the suspension bushes and then drill/tap out sheared ABS sensor bolts, wire brush & hammerite / blast & powder coat all the backend parts.

No time to play today, so Silver Smooth & Black Hammered Hammerite ordered for the non powder coated parts, (from e-bay, a lot cheaper than B&Q or Homebase) cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140310181526&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT. I am working on the theroy that the aluminuim (paint silver) will clean up better than the steel (paint black). On the powertrain/chassis, the Engine Block & Calipers will be Red. Also bought a set of 3 nut splitters ordered from Abbey Power Tools. Body shell now completely stripped & available for the scrap man. Anyone tried selling on e-bay (minus ID), mine has damage to N/S rear wing, but with only 15K would be a good for an 'off' road racer ?

And time for a bit of wire brushing of the back axle (still not got the circlip pliers, and the propshaft bolts didn't want to budge so I could not see the point of cutting off just to replace....)

Cleaning & removing the sponge body seal on the fuel tank, prior to painting. What method worked best when you removed the sponge body seal?

Kevin,
Erm, probably not the recommended method...we're using the petrol from the fuel tank on a rag, its comming away quite easily, Joseph recons he needs just another 20mins in the morning and it will be completly off.
