Looking good as usual. Like the look of the heat reflective stuff. I was thinking of some of that stuff you get in B&Q for behind the radiators!
Btw, is there an IVA requirement for a battery box or are you just doing it for cosmetic purposes. I'm in the mood for saving effort and weight so might use a lightweight race battery with no cover.

Page 113 of the IVA indicates to me that the area behind the seat is an exempt area from the sharp edge inspection. See online.businesslink.gov.uk/Transport_files/124_IVA_M1_Inspection_Manual_Version_0411.pdfBut looking at Page 265 8. All electrical components must be secure be of adequate capacity & insulated as required as to prevent short circuiting during operation. This could be open to interpretation regarding water ingress, etc. I would put some form of cover over the terminals. A simple folded tray is not going to add much weight.

Mmm, I have a tie down bracket sitting here and some rubber terminal covers... Probably best to be safe than sorry though. Box it is. Thanks for that!

I was thinking of adding the 2off tie down brackets that I have from the donor behind the passenger seat to enable secure storage of a tent & sleeping bags for our trips.

They are lovely! We have two cheap plastic round switches and were going to do the same. Fancy a digital dash and some of those savage switches post sva!

Heat shield arrived in the post, so after cleaning up the stringy edges with the gas hob, glued that & the grill to the underside of the bonnet (grill temporarily clamped in place).

Powder coating can have its disadvantages. The intake manifold support bracket, plugged holes with bolts, but one of the bolts sheared on removal. Drilled out, reverse tap and out she came, then quick clean up with a tap... Seat belt mountings, checked out fasteners... need to find some suitable Nylock Nuts... any ideas on size M11 x 1.25 or 7/16 UNF ?

Matched engine to power frame; Getting alignment correct was not too bad; Added the wiring harness to the power frame, new lowering springs, intake manifold support bracket to the engine block and connected the front sub frame to the power train;

Todays fun, started with trial fit of the shortened rear sub frame lower bracket; Then installation of the exhaust (after removal of the lower bracket); Completion of all the transmission tunnel fuel & brake pipe work, along with rear connection to the ABS module. and then brake pipework from Master Cylinder to ABS module.
