ABS Mounting Bracket, trial fitment. Had to chop some bits off, bend the lower mounting and after discovering another enthusiast, Mark (in the village) with a bench pillar drill, added a hole to the bracket in the top right (above the spot weld). But once all fitted, the ABS module does feel secure. (And other than the packing washers, it looks like it was designed to be located there). Lets hope its far enough away from the air filter ! Modified one of the top mountings on the bulkhead from M4 to M6 to utilise one of the original MX-5 Brake Pipe Clamps Modified sub frame with brake flexi brackets modifications, came back, courtesy of the neighbor, Patrick. Then nipped over to another friend, to collect powder coated engine mounts, fuel filter bracket and the steering rack u clamp... and fitted the nice red engine mounts to the engine...

tim, be careful with the lowering option. the top swingarm of the rear suspension hits the vertical plates of the shock mount easily when lowered. im resorting back to standard springs at the back and 30mm lower at the front. only discovered this when i took mine for a shakedown around the block today. looks fine when you build it and its in the garage but it settles down a lot one on the road. Stiggy,
I have just seen Alex's comment (above). I've just bought the full set of springs (last night) from FK Automotive.
Is this foul condition that Alex reports a problem that you have come across?
Tim
P.S. I found out after ordering (from an e-bay seller) that the springs come in red or blue, so fingers crossed mine come in red (I sent an email to the export dept (exportteam@fk-automotive.de) asking for red)...

No problem Tim, we only made the first batch for standard springs, if however a builder requires lower springs on one of those it is very easy to cut a small piece off the side plate of the top rear shock mount.

was wondering if there'd been a few tweaks. Seatbelt top mounts are now in front of the hoops too, mine are in between the diagonal rear bars and its a tight fit against the grp, plus shock mounts and it looks like the steering areas changed slightly too! anyway, managed around them. If i build another (very likely) i'll have all of this to lookforward to! Tim, coming along very nicely, I'll stick up an IVA thread once mines been tested with things to look out for. as this is my first build I doubt it'll get through first time...

Alex, have a quick look at Tims pictures of his chassis, you will see the plates either side of the rear top shock mount are not a pair. The one nearest the back of the car is larger, all you need to do is cut a small piece of the 3mm thick plate off, sorry you have to do this but we are always improving our products.

Started to fit the passenger bulkhead and transmission tunnel.... Hopefully the subframe will be back soon from (mate) who is powder coating, and then onto four wheels.

Nothing new, but spotted a few neet ideas today @ Stoneleigh MEV wheel caps. Painted steering column housing & stalks. Bonnet to chassis rubber (prevent shaffing). Joseph liked the MEV grill... Still dreaming up a solution for the rear lights, something like the SDR rear lights Ultima fuel filler cap

Stuart's fly screen... Ashley's floor pan water drain holes... plenty of ideas for consideration... May implement some of them...

After yesterdays show visit & another look at Julie's & Ashley 'of CKC build', the rear lower sub frame brace needs to be cut. Hopefully cut in the correct place, will find out later... Part filed... Rear bulkhead; Cardboard template made; Rather than use the black panel in the kit, aluminum panel made; Just mounting holes to drill & mount to bulk head, followed by battery cover to align & fit.
