hutchey.. The bananas have to be taken off no way you can use them as installed.. I would wait till you have the full weight of the car on its wheels.. Then see were to drill the hole to install them on the control arm.. As thick as they are you could grind 1/4 of them away.. You can redrill holes and weld up old ones and/or banana to arm..Move on to something else till car on grouns and moving some.

I'm more worried about ride height here as I'm still far too low and can't work out why? Practically at the coilivers max here too.

Not sure what coilovers you have but I have the same issue with extremely low ride height with my VMAXX Sport coilovers. I just purchased a set of spacers from Exomotive which I'm expecting will help greatly. I hope to have on the car this weekend.

Can you take a picture of your front chassis where these items go as I'm trying to work out if the chassis are different before I order. I had asked Exomotive to do this but not heard back from them. Thanks

Hi folks, Finally got back on the car after a while. I have a few problems come to light now: 1) Looks like my banana bit is still fouling on the subframe with my coilovers (stated to be a direct replacement for the MX5) 1b) With these on the front, I can't get enough ride height but not much left to wind these up as per pic 2 No idea how to resolve this ride height now - the bottom edge of the front of the side tube is 10cm from the floor. However, there are the 4 bolt heads underneath for the cross brace that stick down lower. 2) My steering column somehow doesn't reach the thread stud on the pedal assembly (if i chop the back off the pedal brackets then I can't fit them on the other side or washer out the master cylinder as the frame tube is really tight against the MC) Finally got the bolt holes to all align but it took some pulling and pushing about! Going to try and get the tank all aligned up next - still looks like the tabs aren't in the right place. Anyone got any advice on why my steering column won't reach back on the left side bolt?

I think a longer 8mm bolt with a spacer tube or 3 nuts will do the trick

Hi, anyone else had problems with the centre tunnel and getting the panels to fit? what a nightmare! Hi Rich, what have you painted frame with? IS it just a black quick coat to stop it from rusting whilst you do all the work on it? As I am getting a bare metal frame this Friday. Cheers Scott
