Today was a very frustrating day with the fender installation. The brackets supplied didn't even come close to fitting. A LOT of bending, hammering, more bending, heating, and more hammering to get them to where I wanted them to sit. Here are a few modification I had to do besides reshaping them. The front bracket has 3 bolts that bolt behind the wheel hub. there was no way I was going to pull the hub off and re install it every time I needed to test fit the bracket. So what I did was cut a notch into it, now no need to remove the hub. Next, my car came with ABS, im not using it, but the rear knuckles are cast differently. I welded on some angle iron with a few plug welds. After a bit of grinding we have a finished bracket To mount the fenders I used some bolts with locking nuts and 1/2" p-clips. We have finished fenders! The windshield will be done either Monday or Tuesday. At that point I will install it, as well as the mirrors.

Might want to drill a couple of small holes in the tube of the mount for small cotter pins just inside the P clips just in case fender starts to move in/out.. Rubber hole grommets will finish off the hole in fenders nicely.. Car looks great what a shine..

Just received my windshield back form the local glass shop. Now all I need to do is get it mounted in the channel. I REALLY did not want to use those tiny motorcycle mirrors, they are useless. I found some mirrors that are used for personal watercraft. They are extremely sturdy for the cost of them, and they are stainless steel. They are large enough to be use full, but small enough to fit the Exocets small size. I know the text is upside down, the mirror only comes in one universal design, it can be flipped in either direction.

Any link or details on the mirrors? They look good with the bellows style mounts.

Since I'm waiting on the state to give me an answer, I decided to make a center console/arm rest. The center trans cover has a horrendous fit, there is a huge gap that I had to cover up. My plan was to make a center arm rest that runs from the shifter all the way back to behind the seats. I first cut a piece of MDF in the shape I wanted... Next I had to cover it in something. I liked the look of my steering wheel, black leather with red stitching, and I wanted to mimic it. I also didn't want to pay anybody to make it, since I'm cheap. The only way to do this was to learn how to sew. I have never sewn in my life, and I almost lost a few limbs in the process, but I can say that I think I did a pretty damn good job. The red stitching really doesn't show up too well in the pic After some foam and glue, we have a finished center console. I'm probably not going to be keeping the M-Edition wood knobs, but I will see how I feel after driving it a while. I might switch them out for bare aluminum.

I'd happily take the M handle and knob from you if you decide to go a different route. PM me a price and we can talk!
