That type of box is 'surprisingly available' in many place. I found mine at WalMart for $12, straps / mounting kit included.

A lot has progressed over the past few days. I finally got it on the ground and took it for a spin. All I can say, this is going to be one incredible summer. I found out that both of my re manufactured front brakes are leaking from the piston seals. The problem is I bought them last year and they are out of return policy. I also found out my brake master is leaking from the reservoir. I picked up the parts to fix all this today, so that is on the to do list. I also mounted the rear bodywork. This was by FAR the most frustrating thing of the entire build. It is virtually impossible to get your hands in there to attach the fuel fill hose. After about an hour of extremely colorful language, the deed was done. I plan to head to the DMV this coming Monday to get the registration started. In my state (Illinois) they require 4 photos of the vehicle (front, back, left, right). My plan is to get the car "looking" legal so I can get the ball rolling with the paperwork. People have told me it takes 6-8 weeks for the entire process. Even though I may not be completely finished at this moment, this gives me time to get all the little things sorted before the physical inspection to get it actually legal. I did't take many pictures ( I promise I will this weekend), So I will leave you with a pic of the cars maiden voyage out into the sunlight.

How are you doing the fuel filler?
It seems no one has a good way. Mine works, but has compromises.

Something I have used on previous builds - an access cover with the stock cap underneath: Advantage is it is easy to lift off the cover. One the Repicar I thought of using the Car Builder 3 1/2 inch Aston cap but 220 quid for what would be a dummy cap was a bit much, so I just hid it behind the headrest
