Pete is going on vacation in August, I'm heading on vacation in September. I might have him deliver it the first week of September though.
Another question. Is anyone using Adjustable Proportioning brake valves on their cars? I had on on my track Miata so I didn't lock up the brakes in hard braking.

Unfortunately they're illegal on a road car in the UK but I think a number of track cars have them fitted.

Ok, not sure about the legality of them in the US. Each state has their own regulations.
I'm very excited to get this started.. My guess is I'll have it done when there's four foot of snow on the ground. LOL

Another question while i gather some things to get ready for the Busa kit.
I was planning on not doing a flappy paddle shifter. I was going to put the shifter on the tunnel. What kind of shifter is everyone using?

I haven't got that far yet, but I'm planning on a flappy paddle setup, partly because I've pretty much run out of room for a stick shift!

thanks for the heads up. Pete just informed me that even with the K.I.B. there will need to be fabrication work. Can anyone tell me the hardest fab work they have done on their kit?
I'm not much of a Fab guy, thus the KIB. I thought everything that I needed would be included in the kit.

There is no major fabrication work. Just simple stuff like mounting brackets.

I bought the Rocket KIB but still had to do the fabrication, only real difference with KIB is you don't have to source things, you still have the same jobs to do.
The fabrication is not hard but care and patience is your best friend plus a few good tools.
Make trial panels with card before you cut the real panels.
Use fine blades on jig saws and support thin panels as close to the cut as possible.
Get a decent set of files.
Seek advice if you are not sure.
Use good quality drills and taps.
You will be fine.

I have the MEVExobusa KIB and yes there is fab work, like the above posts, so far it's mainly brackets such as that for the radiator, oil cooler, etc.
I was told there was no welding, and to be honest the welding required for the steering rack was pre-done which I was grateful for, but the exhaust needed some welding. Hopefully that's it now though.

I seen that a lot of the cars from the Exocet has a option of a steel floor. Would the Busa benefit from this? How sturdy is the aluminum floor?

My thoughts are:
1. They are quieter 2. No oiling the chain. 3. No oil splatter on the back of the car.
