Yes ... Cut the shock plastic hats below your bump stops off / pull them out. They will definitely bind upr

My seats came yesterday. I like them. I like the Corbeau sliders less. The mounting brackets them come with don't fit and even if they did they'd cover up the mounting bracket for the 5th harness strap. I'll use the ones I received as a guide for making my own longer ones. For those wondering, those are the Corbeau 2" flat double locking sliders direct from the factory. They're about 2" too short to be used without modification on a US kit.

Did you get Miata specific sliders? Been thinking about adding sliders to raise the seat a bit and from what I've read all you have to do is flatten the bend in the bracket.

I'm trying to attach the front cross member to my frame today and running into a fairly significant issue: the holes for the front crossmember do not align above the upper wishbone or the rearmost bolt. I've loosely attached the driver side so I can push it around but there's no closing this up. Both are off by about 1/3 of an inch.

I got some shallow, but wide, U channel to mount the Corbeau sliders to the frame. The U channel bolts to the frame, and the sliders bolt to the u channel. Works great and is stiff.
I had to cut away the inside edges of the u channel where the slider lever goes to allow it to move unobstructed.
I got the sliders alone, not that bracket that you show... don't need that.

Thanks for the advise guys. I'm going to go with Del's idea, as I'm concerned about bending important bits unnecessarily.
I took a break from the front end and started assembling the rear. It's mostly complete though it seems all the pounding I did on the long bolts that run through the bottom wishbone/knuckle may have caused some damage to the threads for at least one of these. A while ago I was looking to replace these but couldn't find a source short of going to a stealership ... does anyone know if they're available anywhere?
