Unrelated progress. Yes the right light is slightly crooked. No, I don't care. What lights are those? Link by chance?

Look at the Grote website ... they carry a whole line of lights like that, very nice construction, heavy duty wiring.

Unrelated progress. Yes the right light is slightly crooked. No, I don't care. No one will notice. The car looks great!

Weatherpacks installed Which means taillights work... Also got the fuel fill ran right, though the vent hose needs a little work.

Picked up a speedhut GPS speedo on a black friday sale, its due to come thurs. New combination switch showed up so I got that wired in. Everything works, correctly, so I think I have it wired right now . I had to get an LED flasher to flash the turn signals and taillights. I got one that didnt work well, and replaced it with a CEC EF32RL www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JXLH7CG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00It clicks like a factory flasher and works GREAT. Highly recommend. The LED headlights are BRIGHT

Tidying up some things, here is the finished second windshield. 2 inches wider, and one inch taller then the first. It's also 1/4" thick instead of 3/16" and much sturdier. Happy with how this one turned out.

Inspection was stress free. Nice Kansas Highway Patrol officer actually came to the garage (what luxury) to look at it. $20 later, I was good to go. Riveting in vin plate

KS used the very *wink* conservative build sheet I gave them, and I ended up paying $1300ish in taxes. The result is... Now I'm road legal.

Unrelated update: The swaybar works fine, with zero issues. Glad that turned out.

$20 for an inspection to allow it on the road - WOW.
Is that inspection all that has to be done? No UK IVA equivalent?
What is the $1300 tax based on?
