Still working on one side of the mounts. Got the cluster fit though. Have to make some windshield adjustments which means cutting a new piece of lexan, no big deal.

Also, unrelated change to the wing. #downforce

Greg - I cut the current windshield too short for it to work on top, it barely fit sandwiched. It wont fit sandwiched anymore (too low) because of the cluster. Need it an inch longer to mount on top. Also going an inch taller (12 vs 11) and 1/4" instead of 3/16

Here's the final revision of the relocation. 5/16 plate steel bracket. No deflection when I stand/jump on the swaybar corner so I don't think I'll need to box it - it's twice as thick as the factory mount after all. Going to paint it and call it good for now, til I can video it on a racetrack and see if it moves any (doubtful)

Moving onto wiring of signals and taillights from scratch, using a basic four relay system

Also worth noting: The red wire into the combination switch isnt for +12v. Lol. Magic white smoke!
The switch as setup switches ground for the headlights, not power. Doh. Replacement switch ordered
HEre's what I've came up with, also. After studying the mechanism, I'm still not sure what the red wire actually would be used for.
R - ? Combo switch switches ground for headlights
Gn/B - Left Turn Signal Gn/W - Right Turn Signal Gn/Y - Turn Signal Power
Y/R - Hi beam/Flash to pass Gn/R - Low beam switched ground to headlight relay Light Green - Tail Lights on BLK - Ground

Is it red with a black stripe? That's for the parking lights. I think light green was for the brake lights.

Nope. Solid red, and thick. Has something to do with the high beam circuit, its part of that whole mechanism - but isnt on any schematic i can find.

R/Y power to left headlamp G is power to right headlamp each has 15A fuse.. Fuse for BOTH get there/its power from the B/L from the headlamp relay.. The red is the ground side of lamp for the high beam of both head lamps and also to the dash cluster through the light switch.. The white from light switch is low ground to both lamps.. Head lamps are grounded through the switch with black wire from it.. Tail lamps and side, running, plate all get power from THS relay with R/B wire from it.. THS relay gets power from Tail fuse 15A with W/L wire. L/G from headlamp switch triggers the THS relay for the tail, side, running and plate to get power.. Turn lamps work through Hazard, turn, and flasher module..

Turn lamps work through Hazard, turn, and flasher module.. That makes a little sense for the red, but R/Y isnt power. There is no power going through the stalk other then the turn signal switch. I think one is high beam out and one is flash to pass out, but both ground the same circuit for the high beams. White isnt used Red/B isnt used

This is how I have turns and brake lights wired. Headlight relay (seperate) turns on the parking lights, so the light green wire isnt really necessary - since I already have a relay doing that job.

Unrelated progress. Yes the right light is slightly crooked. No, I don't care.

R/Y in headlamp sw. comes from the ground side of the coil in the headlamp relay..

I'm not using any miata anything, it's all wiring from scratch. All that matters are the circuit paths.
