Looks similar to what I have now. Small spacer it is. What are you spring rates?

Springs at that time were HR Race on Koni yellows, so near stock rates. Way too soft with a lot of travel, so that might have had something to do with it. We got the clearance problem first time out on an autocross course. Currently Vmaxx sport with Holeshots.

Travel will kill you for sure without spring rate.

Working on turning the cluster of gauges into a finished product from the makeshift tach and heap of wires I had before in order to make the last race of the season. Getting the large tach seated in here was quite difficult, due to the curve of the cluster hood - I cut a very interesting teardrop shape in order to sink it in enough to grab and secure on the inside - and slipped once with my bastard file, as you can see. Will work on polishing that scratch out tomorrow, and mounting this. I added some epoxy in a couple places, so I have to let it cure before I try to mount it.

Are you going to run a GPS speedo or any speedo of sorts?

I may get a gps speedo eventually. The t56 makes speed easy to brain with the ratios in the car. Fourth gear (1:1) is 20mph per 1000 rpm. 5th gear is 30mph per 1000 rpm (.74:1) 6th gear (.5:1) is 40mph per 1000rpm.

Ah good point. Didn't realize that. I would save the $$ and just brain it too if the state would accept it.

Is it from BMW E30? How thick it is? Do you band in some place or it is in original shape?

E30, original shape. It's 25mm thick.

It looks that it isn't from e30, it is from e36 (next generation of bmw 3). I will try fit it into my miata.

The adapter bars are a final version or only for fit testing? In my opinion they are a little to thin.

Agreed. I don't think that is going to work well. Stock miatas are known to tear out their stock mounts, and they are far sturdier than that.

No, they are not. Miata mounts are 16ga. This is probably twice as strong as a stock miata mount, and that's just the mockup.
I"ll post a pic of the final piece shortly, it's 5/16 thick plate steel and boxed to the chassis tube.
