You don't need a full height one due to the way the shield changes the airstream. In my case, its mostly just for buffeting reduction. Mine's 11 inches at the high parts, 9 inches in the middle

Oh, when you get in/out of the car, do you stand up thru the windshield area? That was another reason I didn't go with a full one.

I don't, I go through the sides. I'm mostly concerned with blocking road debris kicked up on the freeway as I'll be driving the car to and from the track and shows, and would like to block the occasional rain drop.

Tunnel roughed in and riveted, brakes and power tied up and out of the way. Just got to wire ignition switch and fuel now. First start tentatively tomorrow. Also have the bodywork here, but nothing to update there.

Had some pressing things that took my time away from getting it started. Made a center stack for ignition and some misc gauges i may add at a later date. Need to get an upper radiator hose and overflow tank.

Found an upper radiator hose to work since the miata kit hose was wrong for the exo. 72127 dayco. The last thing I need to start is the puke tank, which should be here tomorrow or next week.

Waiting for first light to start because open headers. This is how the fuses ended up - cut an extra hole in the wiring tray so the harness could tuck under Finished view of the +12v bus bar, with cover and connections coming out. Very glad I decided to do it this way, makes 12v taps super simple

In the future I may remove the harness and holesaw a hole to run it through the grommet but for now I'm leaving it as is

Should add - I had a DOA ecm from the harness place which I had to send back Thursday. The new one should show up this week and i'll be able to start the car.

May I ask how much the harness and ECM ended up costing you? Both are from PSI, correct? I'm in the process of budgeting a similar build. Thanks!

520 for the harness and 200 for a new pcm with programming, so 720 or so total. It's a very nice harness, highly recommend.
