Decided to go with a RPS muffler not 100% the look I was after but the sound is fantastic, and once I paint the pipe it should look OK, had to put a catalytic convert on for compliance

My son and I took the car for a trip around the block after the exhaust and alignment was done, great fun and really good to drive, happy with the handling and sound, off to get a vehicle Id number and compliance in a week, so getting close to being on the road, can't wait has been great fun building it, would recommend the Exocet as a kit

Great work you Kiwis get cracking don't you! I'm still sorting the electrics but they're now 2/3 finished, just need to decide on front indicators. I love the colour you've chosen. I was wanting WRX blue for mine but that didn't happen keep us updated

Haven't had a chance to update my progress for a while Failed the first certification, with a number of minor issues to resolve and a couple of challenges meeting regulation
Some of the list
Ride height needed to be raised up on the coilover, the another wheel alignment Exhaunt certificate Wheel spacer nuts changed High stop brake light didn't have correct letter so had to be replaced Brake line heat shielded Mud guards, originally failed but later on accepted following a review Missed a couple of washers Engine stop light, still fighting on this one
And a few other minor items but two month wait for recertification
So have been working on correcting the list, next certification is 24/03 so fingers crossed

Finished the Guage cluster, which includes a starter button, and volts, oil pressure and water temperature, happy with the final look, all of the wiring loom is hidden in behind the guages Also tidied up under the dash so all the wiring is hidden, filling in time to the certification

The certification process has provided to be challenging but close to sign off.
Have to change my wheel spacers again certifier still not happy with them so brought another set of Torq spacers And have to raise my rear suspension up, takanini fabrication are making me some rear suspension spacers.
Then final certification this Friday.

It was pissing down that day...felt very sorry for you Im guessing the spacers are like the ones Exomotive sell, that will sit between the top of your coilover and the frame? Im thinking I will take my car down to Hamilton..sounds like the inspector down there has more Exocet experience and might not be such a hardarse. Good luck for the final sign off!

Yep it was a crap day My certifier will be fine for anyone else, as long as it complies to the regulations, I am happy to share my list of corrections, majority were easy fixs You need to book them well in advance scratch builds are not done everyday And you need them to do a cert when the running gear and chassis are first bolted together, biggest think I missed was either locknuts or spring washers, also have 50 have washers between the chassis and running gear.
