Some things have not gone my way in life lately, but today was a much needed win.
Car drives great, it was a blast riding around the neighborhood. It feels fast! All the work was worth it.

Jon congrats on the first drive. I see you couldn't help but smile during the drive. I doubt many can. My plans for this weekend changed last night. My father in law died and I will be staying in Metro Detroit this weekend after taking my wife to the airport so she can fly home to Germany. I know it is short notice but if you are available I am up that way all weekend. Any word on when your body parts will be in?

My body panels are sitting in my basement waiting to go on

Met some other exocet owners today. Was very good to trade ideas! Installed the windshield. Still need to fix the poly carb somehow though

Jon - is that the Exomotive windshield frame, or from some other source? If the Exomotive frame, is there room / ability to adjust the rake? Looks very "straight up".

Exomotive windshield kit. Yes you can adjust the angle, it attaches with two clamps and also 2 ears on the side. I don't think you need the ears attached as they intend, it is super strong... You could rotate it back further so long as you can squeeze the ears past the side bars of the car, which it appears you can.
The biggest problem is that the track for the glass is very wide. Much wider than the poly carb windshield. I got some insulation window strips to try and fill I. That gap. Not sure how I am going to fix the polycarb

Jon, nice meeting you yesterday and checking out your very nice build. The windshield looks good. How wide is the slot gap it fits into? Can you use another piece of plexi to shim the windshield in place just at the edges or is it more just wide enough to be loose? Maybe some Butyl tape to secure it to the frame. It takes up space, cushions the windshield from the frame and is waterproof. McMaster Carr sells it by the roll. Maybe that or look for a rubber molding that has a slot in it that will fit snugly in the frames channel.

The poly carb is 3/16 thick while the channel is almost 3/4 of an inch... A lot to make up. Maybe I'll print some shims if this insulation I got doesn't work. Debating if I should drill a hole and put a screw through it to retain the windshield or glue it in somehow

I printed some channels to adapt. Still not 100% how I want to fix it.

I'd talk to a local based windshield repair place ... they likely have just the type of channel you need in stock!
Curious what color your frame is ... looks ALOT like mine (Kingsport Gray) !!!
