Very nice so far! What are the specs on your wheels/tires? Also, whats the silver box before the air filter?

Jnc 003 wheels. Same as the holeshots. Kumho v720 tires.
The box is the MAF sensor! Hope to delete that eventually with a different ECU.

I am trying to discourage passengers from putting their full weight on the floor panels

Question: I got my car running but had a hard time getting the fuel pump to turn on. We traced the problem back to the MAF air meter (1990 donor). There is apparently a switch in there that needs to be closed to apply power to the fuel pump. We confirmed the switch is open and the source of my trouble.
I was able to get fuel pump on by jumping two pins in the diagnostic port. Then it ran.
Is this switch the roll over sensor? How do I reset it?
Thanks!!

The switch in the AFM ensures the pump only runs if the engine is turning, it should close as soon as the flap moves, you should be able to hear it click when you manually move it. The fuel pump relay (oddly called the 'circuit opening relay' in some circuit diagrams) also gets an 'on' signal from the starter, if the AFM switch is not working it will fire up when cranking but die when the key is released.

Thanks! Maybe the starter closing is not turning on the fuel pump. That may be the piece of this puzzle I am missing.

Thanks to some inout I think I just had an "ah ha" moment: yesterday, after starting, we discovered that I had a small vac leak. I bet that leak was preventing it from closing during slow cranking. I bet it will work fine on its own now.
This all makes more sense to me now: normally the fuel lines hold fuel pressure so it starts without delay when you crank. In this case, I never got adequate vac to turn it on.

Been a while since update. I have been working on getting the harness in permanently. I 3d printed a lot of small grommets, clips, and mounts. Put some big holes in the firewall to route the harness. I plan on making some sort of carbon dash that is a few inches wide that will cover up the harness from the interior view. Should be ready for a drive soon!

I'm not in MI for weekends off just weekends working but I can re-arrange my schedule to check out the build if weekends work best. This weekend I'm away but next weekend can work if you are available. PM or email me.
