Does the 1" stud length seem about right, or too long / too short? I see MMC has a lot of choices, and even offers these in 316 stainless !

1`" seems perfect
I set the stud plates in then bond them in with SEM 39337 Door Skin adhesive. Rough up the fiberglass first for the best bond.

OK, didn't like the exposed Dzus fastener nose mounts so I came up with this. The nose is pointed so I made brackets to bayonet the nose up/down and side to side. I made a fence to hold the rear of the hood and to block the hot engine air from the cockpit and holding down the hood with AeroCatches. If I did another, I'd use QuickLatches instead. Spent a few hours on the dyno this morning until this hose let go. It is the one from the rear of the motor to the heat exchanger on the oil filter.  Making 240 RWHP at 12 psi and 21°  |
