Dying to hear of a comparison as I had been considering 818 as well. I am moving toward the Exocet, In part, because I think the build time will be considerably less and it still looks fun. Also, thought I caught GRM reference that the shifter felt a little vague on the 818?

vcpwayne: your color scheme is identical to mine, so I'm really worried my body panels will not match the wheels, like yours. I'm guessing your wheels are XXRs in the Habanero color, correct? If so, is that how far off the RAL 2005 is to matching the wheels?

The FFR supplied shifter is vague in 818but I sell a billet shifter kit with way shorter cables and improves the feel greatly

If so, is that how far off the RAL 2005 is to matching the wheels? Way off, go by your local paint store and ask for a RAL chip book and match the wheels to the RAL number. I looked at the RAL colors online and figured the RAL 2005 would match the Habanero wheels. Not so much, got the chip book and the panels match the 2005 so I got what I asked for. So now I either have to re powdercoat/paint the wheels or buy a set that is the right color.

I have been trying to decide how to go about mounting my fenders. Your install is the best example I have seen so far. Thank you.

Mounting the fender using some perforated stud plates. Can you provide a MMC part number for those plates, please? I searched around on their online catalog, and cannot find a perforated plate that has the boss on it to mount the stud to. thank you in advance!

I love the paint scheme and wheel choice. The fiberglass work looks pretty good as well. get that thing wired and on the dyno.
