I threw in a couple more letters, one to the modified committee, one to the prepared committee. It seems the exo could run D/E Mod or X Prepared, as the rulebook is written - even though none of you have looked into X prepared as an option yet. XP only requires the car to be a production based car, and despite previous misgivings about that, as it is supplied by the factory/manufacturer with an MSO, it IS a production car (IE: not handbuilt), and has accompanying bodywork as such. XP also explicitly allows tube chassis cars. Food for thought

Really looking forward to hearing more about this. There has been a lot of rumblings at my local level because of myself and even more so of a guy that made a "Cheapocet". I think it's getting a roll bar and kirkeys.  |

I've heard through unofficial channels that my letter is being used for the basis of allowing the car into D/EM, and it should be in next month's edition.

We were contacted by the SCCA national office and we'll be in touch soon on some details for classification. We'll keep you guys updated once we have a little more information for you, but moves are being made!

There is no aero allowance in D/EM though, besides splitters and spoilers. A spoiler wouldn't do much on our cars, but the splitter might, especially if you integrated it with the fenders like the Lotus 7 guys & clones do.
