Be careful with tail light converters, many of them use the bulb filaments to complete the ground circuit to drive the electronics. ie: you must have bulbs on the car side and bulbs on the trailer side. I think the one you picked will be fine as it has a ground wire.
In my day job I see many of these tail light converter fail, that's why I went with relays: Use the link below in my build thread to see how to wire the relays. Rick in vegas build thread

Now I see where my plan was failing. I need a third relay. Do I need the diodes? I cant quite read the note about them in the corner of the picture and a google search for that schematic is not finding anything. Also what modification did you have to make to the flasher?

I did not use external diodes, but most of these Bosch style relays have a diode internal (I used the square ones). The little picture on the side of the relay will show them. The only issue is you have to run a power wire, I just came off the battery as none of the relays use power when off.
Turn signal flasher mod. Just replace one resistor on the module for a na, I think there is a repair for a nb in the same thread. Flasher mod

Spent the last umpteen months prepping my donor/skate. Set to pickup s/n 110 on the 18th. Reading this just made me realize how far I still have to go! As always, awesome info in here, and inspiring work, IC !

I'm way past that point Yes you are! Sorry I saw that you only had a couple of posts and thought you were just starting. Car looks great! I was going to go with that color scheme as well but changed to a grey with red and black bits theme. Is yours registered in Alabama and if so what did it involve?

I spoke to the nice lady at the state department of revenue. (They process the request for a new VIN) She said I had sent all of the things she needed and would she would process my application today. It will than go to an inspector who will verify the VIN numbers on the engine and transmission and then I should be able to register it.
I also talked to Exomotive who said 4-6 weeks for the body work. I am ticket #59(I think) and they are "in the high 30s low 40s now" and doing 2-3 a week. So 6 weeks sounds optimistic unless they kick it up a bit.

I am going to want to have a chat about what all paper work you submitted. And really looking to see how the inspection goes.

Hi IC, I'm placing my Exocet order this week. I appreciate this series of posts..well done. I'll be sure to add any other gotchas I encounter. Curious..are the headlights from Exomotive?
