These are the mirrors I am using - work on either side (you just adjust it accordingly):

Hopefully that link works. If not, Google EMGO 20-42448 universal mirror.
They actually work great - minimal vibration and you can see what is behind you!
I like the idea of black screws .. but, I already switched out the upper panel fasteners to match the lower ones, and access (with seats in, etc. to about half of those on the lowers is tough. So, sticking with what I have now, and hoping no panels need to come off for the foreseeable future!
Ohio State Patrol inspection is setup for 7 AM on Monday .... hoping for a good outcome, a VIN number, and an OK to get it registered !!!! Best of luck with the inspection. I hope all goes smoothly with the process.

Hey Greg. I'm still drooling over your build, definitely in the running for most sorted out and cleanest build. My question is about your FMii. I'm a V8 kind of guy so running a little 1.8 with aftermarket turbo is foreign territory for me. Most videos with the FMii have a crazy loud BOV. I see Flyin Miata offers a recirculating valve as an option. Which did you go with? I'm trying to minimize that BOV noise. Othersise I may just go back to the LS1 concept. Thanks! Mike

It's setup to recirc for best response. Although at 16psi, open chassis, its still audible. Just cruising around light boost I can't hear it.

Thanks Greg! I was hoping you you had a setup like that and had good results. I think I'll do a N/A 1.8 to start and then do the FMii after everything is worked out. I'll be on the streets 90% of the time so comfortable drivability is paramount. Of course I know I'm building a race car, not a Caddy, but I need the wife/daughter to enjoy riding too.
By the way, thanks for the tip on the CR1's. I think having even a little recline will be better than upright Forzas.

Some updates. Doing multiple projects at once. Finally finished one of them and that's powder coating the control arms and poly bushings. Starts off with pressing out the old rubber bushings and bead blasting them. The color I chose is a 2 stage satin black which is just simply a gloss black base with a satin clear over it. Turned out amazing! Gives the part some depth you can't get with paint. Poly bushings installed. The front upper control arms needed new ball joints. I wasn't comfortable replacing them as they are pressed fit with no form of locking. Decided to order new ones ($100 shipped for the pair from eBay!). They will be in soon. I need to get better about taking pics for you guys. Greg, I think I am missing a part. I circled your picture with red and I cannot find this part. Robert

It goes on the front subframe. You can see it here opposite side of the steering rack.

I think that's a 99+ brace, so it wouldn't have been on a 95, Robert.

Did the clamps fit or were they too small? 41mm is close to 1.6 inches, could you get this around the 1.75 tubes or you just used the plates?
Thanks!

They were too small. I broke two of them. Just used the plates.

Hi Greg, I'm also in PA and have questions about license/registration of one of these beasts. Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Awesome car, and thanks for all your effort in posting your build! Gary
