Did the sensors you bought have 1/8 NPT threads? Apparently the miata uses 1/8 BPST threads everywhere.
I've been told with a little sealant you can use npt in bpst. I am in the process of getting new sensors and gauges too, but I am trying to buy adapters.
I have an adapter for the oil, but it's hard to find one that allows the water temp sensor to pass through it

The coolant sensor is installed in the Begi spacer which already was tapped for NPT. One of the main reasons I bought it. The oil sensor is in the T fitting FM supplies to feed oil to the turbo. It also comes tapped for NPT fittings.

Really happy with these FM side panels. $82 shipped for the pair. What's nice is the cutouts for the welds on the frame so fit is perfect. Took 30min to do both. All fluids leaks fixed, pressure tested the intake and fixed all those leaks, tested the cooling fans, re calibrated the coolant temp sensor to match what the new gauge shows, waited for the sun to go down then went out for a tune. Manually tuned the boost controller via duty cycle instead of target boost PID in 3rd. Got as high as 16psi with no knock on pump gas. Ran out of nerve before running out of turbo or octane.... The car is so fast at that level it scares the crap out of me. I can't hardly keep up with how fast the car accelerates. Combine that with 100mph winds hitting my bare face it was an experience! Can't imagine what the V8 guys experience....

I'm super excited to get the FM2 for mine, hopefully I have the $$ saved to get it around Jan. My car is fun now but needs a bit more power and the FM2 seems to be the best bang for the buck. Only thing else I will need is the Happy Meal and possibly the coolant reroute kit.

Ihintze, the standard reroutes won't work with the FMII kit, it tries to route a coolant tube right through the inlet.. Ask me how I know this.. My solution was digging through various tubes at Pep Boys until I found one that exits the rad inlet towards the drivers side, runs a few inches then drops down and around the intake piping and BOV back towards the pass side of the engine. From there I hacked up a few 60 degree bend pieces and was able to route to the water neck on the rear of the block. I'll try to get the tube PN as it was near perfect for this. YMMV depending on what rad you have. I'm running a Koyo aftermarket that might be a touch thicker than stock, but the spacing from rad to intake manifold seems much tighter on our cars than the stock Miatas.

I was so immediately jealous when I was looking at their site and saw that. It is a much cleaner solution than mine, but given the donor had a Koyo I wasn't ready to buy a new rad. Greg, I'll have to see your build in person someday, I think you've set the gold standard.

If you look at the Exomotive build guide, you'll see their radiator mounts were modeled after the FM crossflow too. That's another things which sold me over to it.
People complain sometimes about the prices FM charges for some things but its hard to argue when everything just works. Literally everything. Brake kit, Happy meal, turbo kit, suspension kit, tune up kit, radiator kit... Even the Hydra ECU was worth the added expense because well... My car starts, runs and drives with minimal effort. Spent over 15k with them and have absolutely no regrets. Got exactly what I paid for with none of the BS.

Nope. Firewall gets in the way. Had the same idea.

Front side covers make nice mounting points for side indicator lights.
I only wish that FM supplied s/s button head cap screws for mounting them, to match what Exomotive supplies for mounting of the lower panels. (I'll be changing mine shortly, as I'm too OCD to keep seeing two different kinds of exposed fasteners on panels right next to each other!) A bit of curve to the panels (to match the curve of the adjacent tubes) would be nice also, but probably way to expensive to do (would likely involve heating / bending / etc.). I might install a small 'pusher block' on the lower tube in the middle of the panel to push mine out a bit ... we'll see.

Nothing much going on. Decided to wait till spring to register the car. ....although fall has been more than pleasant so far this year.... Had some more vinyl stickers made up in the mean time. Really happy with how they turned out. Will be doing some more soon. Also ordered 10 of these to make and sell for you guys. $35 each plus $6 extra for international shipping. The first batch should be ready in a couple weeks.

Greg, where are you getting the vinyls made? I've been thinking of making a few but haven't found a reasonable source.

What mirrors are these? I have ordered bunch of these screws www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F35FBOM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00. Will be using them to install all the side panels for the consistent look.

These are the mirrors I am using - work on either side (you just adjust it accordingly):
www.denniskirk.com/391814.sku?gclid=CMSl98eJ6sgCFZGRHwodZrgKwg&ad=40844445189
Hopefully that link works. If not, Google EMGO 20-42448 universal mirror.
They actually work great - minimal vibration and you can see what is behind you!
I like the idea of black screws .. but, I already switched out the upper panel fasteners to match the lower ones, and access (with seats in, etc. to about half of those on the lowers is tough. So, sticking with what I have now, and hoping no panels need to come off for the foreseeable future!
Ohio State Patrol inspection is setup for 7 AM on Monday .... hoping for a good outcome, a VIN number, and an OK to get it registered !!!!
